PAX Prime out in Seattle is in 4 days and Turbine is planning a party to celebrate with their fans!

Today Turbine has announced that The Rise of Isengard beta will begin on July 27th (although the annoucnement says August, it is a confirmed typo).

Back in September of 2010 I wrote an article about Lua scripting and how it came to exist in LOTRO. Needless to say I was pretty excited. However, lately it seems that it has been all but abandoned by Turbine.

In an article today, MMORPG.com listed awards for the best that they saw at E3 this year. The Lord of the Rings Online, Rise of Isengard was chosen as their pick for best expansion.

Turbine has launched it’s European LOTRO Account Migration page! Time for our EU friends to prepare to join all of us into one happy LOTRO family!

The LOTRO Game Servers will be brought down on Friday, May 27 from 6:00AM – 10:00 AM Eastern (-4 GMT) for a hotfix.

Today Turbine released some official screenshots with the launch of Update 3: Lost Legends of Eriador which is now live on Turbine servers!

The Turbine Support Website and Knowledge Base will be brought down for scheduled maintenance on Saturday, May 21st at 9:00 pm Eastern.

It has been a couple weeks since the announcement of the Turbine Global Service coming starting June 1st. Folks most affected by this are our friends currently on Codemasters servers and are wondering how all this will play out.

Yeah, it’s a cheesy title, but I couldn’t resist! All thanks to Caelas for pointing out today that Sapience posted on the Codemasters forum that EU players transitioning over to Turbine’s system will not need to download or install a new client.

Celestrata posted this note in the forums about scheduled maintenance for this coming Monday.

Sapience posted a word today addressing concerns from the EU players who currently reside on Codemaster role-play servers.

Today saw the release of Aaron “Rowan” Campbell’s Producer Letter for April, 2011. In it he covers some of the major milestones that the game has seen and looks not only at the past, but the present and future as well.

Today Turbine has announced that it will expand its global operations and assume full control of The Lord of the Rings Online in Europe beginning June 1st, 2011.

Turbine has announced a new Anniversary Motivational Poster contest. Submissions can be serious or funny.

LOTRO officially started on April 24, 2007 so this Sunday marks the fourth anniversary of our beloved game. To celebrate some festival type activities have opened up on both Turbine and Codemaster servers.

Even though we are still busy giving away the PAX East mounts, PAX Prime registration has opened for Attendees, Exhibitors, and Media alike!
