As we learned in last week’s Dev Chat, all classes are getting a skill upgrade at level 62. This is the only “new” skill we will be getting in Siege of Mirkwood. With the NDA lifted, we now have information of what these new skills are. Here’s a complete list of what each class is getting at level 62.

A look at the Character Panel and all the changes in stats, ratings, and all the other lovely numbers that populate it.

Looking towards Mirkwood combat is one of the things on my mind. Sluggish and slow compared to other games, Mirkwood looks to change all of that.

He is a musician in real life working on a Tolkien inspired project entitled “The Lonely Mountain Band”. He is also a kinship leader of the same name on Landroval. Turbine is having a stress test on the Bullroarer server on Tuesday November 17th. For us, it’s a chance to get a sneak peak of the skirmishes, mount system and legendary item updates we’re so eagerly awaiting!

A look at several Developer postings made this week from Ransroth that discuss the upcoming changes to the mail system and to the main menu.

Today saw the release of a Dev Diary “Introducing Dol Guldur” by Tsieng Liu of the LOTRO Dungeons Team (wow, I bet that’s an awesome team to work on), discussing different topics including how the dungeon area is laid out, a brief look at the dungeons and how they will work.

In preparation for Siege of Mirkwood, LOTRO-Europe is activating a 10% experience bonus starting today until the launch of the expansion on December 3rd. A great opportunity for those closing in on 60 to get a bit closer before the level cap raises to 65!

Another Welcome Back Week is upon us! This is an event where Turbine invites people who had stopped playing LOTRO to come back and give it another try for free! It’s also a great time to invite people to the multi-month payment plan that will allow them to get the Siege of Mirkwood expansion free.
