Casual Stroll to Mordor

The Steed of the Captain is making its debut tomorrow in the LOTRO Store. In fact, if you open the LOTRO Store right now in game, you’ll see a banner for the steed is already up!

Turbine is having a special on temporary reputation mounts (remember this is mount month) tomorrow the final day of February which also happens to be Leap Day!

This Friday the Thorin’s Hall Reputation Goat will be added to the LOTRO Store.

The patch notes for December 6th were quite interesting to me for this one particular line:

“We have added a new mount to the Kindred barterer for the Malledhrim (Mirkwood Offensive). The cost for the mount is the same as the previous Mirkwood mount.”

Starting tomorrow, the Mathom Society Mount will be available in the LOTRO store plus other weekly sales!

Recent game updates and store deals have revived the not-so-old question of whether or not reputation deeds should be in the store and what to expect from store exclusive mounts. So here are my thoughts on the matter.

This week we are busy losing a lot to the dwarf and hobbit races with the Summer Festival. Merric is working on his burglar and was able to level it up to 33 this week. Goldenstar is creating paintings for Kia to hang up in client’s houses she’s redecorating.

I have been waiting and waiting for my chance to get my Blue Roan pony! She is even more beautiful than I imagined. I’ll have to think of a good name for her (her default name was Chase).

LOTRO game servers will be down on Wednesday, April 21nd from 6am – 10am EDT (-5 GMT).

The official announcement hasn’t been posted yet but Sapience has posted the scoop on what is happening with the Spring Festival and the pesky festival horse vendor, Will Peartree.

There’s a post out today from Sapience explaining why the horse vendor was removed.

I’m sure many have already realized that there was an issue with Will Peartree that resulted in this festival vendor to be pulled from the game for a fix.
