Casual Stroll to Mordor

In the past year I had spent over $300 on zones and expansions. This is about the same amount I would have spent with a subscription and expansions.

While most people read the announcement of RoR (pronounced RAWR! by me) and thought that it was awesome, I was left with more questions than answers.

Mashable is reporting that World of WarCraft is now going to have a free to play option, that is until you reach level 20 (sound familiar?).

Codemasters announced today that LOTRO has won another award for their Free to Play efforts. MMORPGITALIA had a viewers choice awards and LOTRO won with nearly 50% of the votes.

Journey to Winter-home is the latest content update for Lord of the Rings Online. As with other content updates since Mirkwood, there are several changes to the skirmish system.

Codemasters successfully launched Free-to-Play yesterday and Digital Spy has an interview with Aaron Campbell about the change to Free-to-Play. Digital Spy is also hosting a contest for UK players where you can win!

Today brings great news as our European friends finally know when LOTRO will be going Free-to-Play for them.

The preview event for Codemasters Free-to-Play has concluded! The news today is that the sign up and client download for Nimloth, the preview server, will be closed today.

Today starts the Free-to-Play Preview for Codemasters and it is now live!

Codemasters has announced that their Free-to-Play will begin on Monday, October 25th.
