Casual Stroll to Mordor

Often overlooked and taken for granted, roads are an integral part of life in Middle-Earth. They stretch across maps and through towns, making travel easier (and sometimes safer) for adventurers and merchants alike.

The Spring Festival is a wonderful time to get together with one another and enjoy the warmer weather. The sun is out shining longer, and the grass is greener. There’s no reason not to sit down and have a pint (or two) with your fellow Man.

Spring has nearly arrived, and with it comes warmer weather and various activities of the Spring Festival. But changing from winter to spring isn’t as easy as flipping a switch.

The halls of Moria are cloaked in shadows. Without aid, it is difficult to find your way in the darkness. There is the occasional hall or tunnel in which there are cracks in the ceiling and light pours down, but those are few and far between.

Most adventurers would expect to find different types of buildings and homes across Middle-Earth. There are quite a few differences between the homes of dwarves and hobbits, for example. This forest is one of the first places new players encounter when setting out in the land across Middle Earth. It’s a bright forest, full of vibrant greens and browns when the sun is shining but can quickly turn dark and dangerous one when straying off the path.

After a large snowfall an entire landscape can be changed. Plants buried, new obstacles created, and beautiful sights to behold.

Bree is a bustling city, full of inhabitants going this way and that. There are a lot of sights to behold, from wattle and daub buildings to an elaborate fountain.

No matter how many times I leave, no matter how bad the day, every time I come back to The Shire I feel like I never left; my mood lifts.

A lot of Forochel can seem foreboding. But there are a lot of amazing sights in Forochel that if timid, adventurers will never see.

The lotteries have started back up in LOTRO and in observation of the New Year there have been some festive favors (or if you like, favours) adventurers can win.

Winter can often bring with it chilly snowflakes and frozen lakes. And while the weather can sometimes be cold and unfriendly, it certainly isn’t that way for long and there are always plenty of ways to enjoy the season.
