Today we have another “live action” fan-made film that I quite enjoyed, “The Hunt for Gollum”.

One of the few disappointing pieces of information that came out of the announcement of the Helms Deep expansion was that Chance Thomas will not be returning to create the music for the area. However, recently the crew over at the Battle Bards podcast sat down to talk about the amazing work he’s done for LOTRO.

Most of you may be familiar with this video, but since it’s what I consider a “classic” fan made video and it features Lord of the Rings as its subject matter, how can I not mention it in this series? Today’s film is “Born of Hope” which “…tells the story of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, before the return of the King.”

The Official Release Notes for Update 11 have been released today and they are huge

Turbine released a Developer Diary today focused on the upcoming changes that Mounted Combat will be undergoing in Update 11.

The official patch notes for today’s update have been released. This is a small update to fix several server and gameplay issues. In a nice treat though, there are a number of new rewards that are also being added to the Anniversary Festival as well.

Let me say that I love this series. Each one is a different take on computer games that portray interactions between characters within a game.

The release notes for Update 11 have been posted for the Bullroarer server and they contain a lot of information including a new region and a new segment of the Epic Story!
