I had not originally planned to write Pineleaf Plays articles for level 65. I figured that I would not have any characters at level 65 until the release of Isengard and the increase of the level cap. This proved not to be the case for the Lore-master.

Last month I wrote a preview on the skirmish changes that were made in Update 3. Unlike earlier updates, there were several changes to the skirmishes since the original Bullroarer.

My original plan had been to level each class at an even pace. I decided to concentrate on my Lore-master for a while have for three reasons. First, I was getting a little tired of alting.

Today we will look into the new skirmishes: Attack at Dawn and The Icy Crevasse. These are the first new non-epic skirmishes to be introduced since the original release of the skirmish system.

The next content update, scheduled for release in late May, will include two new skirmishes. CSTM has learned that one of these two new skirmishes is to be set in the Shire and is to be called Survival: Hobbiton.

For my recruit-level article on the Lore-master, I ran with Pinecone, my Landroval Lore-master. For the footman levels, I am returning to Pinestaff, my main lore-master on Windfola.

The easiest way the Ford of Bruinen from the west of the cross the Loudwater at the Ford of Bruinen. You most likely crossed it the first time you visited Rivendell. Unfortunately, the forces of the enemy also know of this crossing. Be prepared to help the sons of Elrond defend the ford against the forces of Sauron.

With the captain I had no troubles running in the 30s. Therefore, the increased difficulty in the 40s smacked me in the face. This was a signal that it was time to really learn how to play this class.

Update 2 (Echoes of the Dead) is now available for testing on Bullroarer. This is an update many have long awaited. Volume 2 revamp includes converting the battle instances in Chapter 2.5.5 into skirmishes.

The information in my first article on the burglar covered the Footman levels more than the Recruit levels. Despite this, I generally avoided referring to skills you gained after level 20, so there is something to discuss concerning the burglar for this second series.

I am engaging in my own altaholism project by playing several skirmishes with each of these classes. Today, we will look at the warden with latest version of Pineleaf (on Nimrodel) at level 30. She runs skirmishes with a sage.

I have noticed that many players don’t care much for tokens and emblems. In my regular skirmish group, the other members of the group invariably pass on all of them. While I can see passing on those that will not help you in any way, I cannot see passing on those that fit your class perfectly.

Lord of the Rings Online allows you to play nine classes. Each class has its own style, challenges, and role in a group. Before you can fight in any skirmishes, you must first complete the skirmish tutorial. Therefore, when you reach level 20, it is time to head to a skirmish camp and start the tutorial quest.
