About CSTM

A Casual Stroll to Mordor Blog and Podcast is fansite service started by married couple Merric and Goldenstar. They started playing The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) during beta and both of have lifetime subscriptions to the game.

They are parents of a young Baby Hobbit and as a result are fairly casual players of the game but that doesn’t mean they don’t take LOTRO seriously! Their casual status is simply a time constraint, not a lack of interest.

The driving reason behind creating the fansite and podcast was to develop a good source of information and enjoyment for a wide variety of players, casuals and hardcore alike. CSTM covers LOTRO news and information but also will report and comment on out-of-game items of interest as well. Our goal is to entertain as well as inform the LOTRO community.

Merric and Goldenstar are not professional podcasters or bloggers and are very much learning what they like to talk about and share with their audience as they go. We welcome your comments and suggestions for the blog and/or podcast. Feel free to contact us anytime!
