Player Achievements

Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week. We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:

  • Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
  • Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
  • Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or finished up Hytbold. We want to hear from you!

These shout outs will appear in tomorrow tonight’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern! First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast. Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

Last Sunday I participated in the The Grand Shire Chicken Run 2013, organized by the ‘Grand order of the Lost Mathom’ kinship on Laurelin. It was a beautiful run to Rivendell with about 20 chickens. I’m happy to report most chickens made it. Many thanks to Simbo, the other organizers and the brave adventurers that guarded us chickens. See here for details and some pics: http://bit.ly/XH3kj5

  2. Suzawen (Landroval) Says:

I should have Suzarose kindred in Entwashvale tonight. I also started a new champion (Suzabella) last week and thanks to the double XP weekend she is already 22! Loving the champion class at the moment!

  3. Stephan Says:

The crazy cook/farmer Zwiebellchen on our server, Maiar, made it – to Level 85 just by cooking and farming! I am deeply impressed. (Statistics pending, if the podcast listeners are interested.)

The welcome back XP bonus also applied to char XP by crafting and helped a lot on the finish line.

So, my twink Beloluin, Lore-master of Maiar made it to Level 52 just by crafting (Lvl 45 was intended). Now it’s time to enter Moria and give the Orcs a knock over the head with the frying pan!

    • Crell of Riddermark, Vanguard Says:

I’d love to see the stats for this. Coin expended. What you crafted, time to process, used buffs etc.

Lucky week for me. Two of my toons won lotteries and I got a red skeleton pony from a lootbox. I also thought I was going to miss a raid, but when I logged on several hours after it was set to start, they were still in it, stuck on a boss. After someone dropped, I joined and we knocked it out on the first try.

This week, my 85 Minstrel finally finished Hytbold, so I’m now the “Thane of this” and the “Thane of that”. Thanks, but I have flowers to sing to back in Lorien. Gotta say that it is very nice to trot around Hytbold when it’s fully restored and populated.

Spent my meager time grinding deeds in North Downs and Evendim. Finished all but 2 deeds in North Downs. Those darn worms are hard to find then turn my poor little solo minstrel in to tasty treats when I do.

I keep discovering stuff that I can do that I never took the time to learn about. I just now figured out what the heck tactical mitigation meant! I also discovered that I was able to make Hope tokens under my Jeweler crafting. Never knew that! So now,…”there is always hope” lol.

Lastly, out of game, I now have Lego Elrond defending my work laptop: http://twitter.com/djpimpdaddy/status/307489535254745088/photo/1 and I could not be happier.

My RK Helorin (of “I Make Stuff” on Gladden) finished up World Renowned and got his Eriador Pony! Yay for rep grinds, I guess. :)

  8. Kazren Says:

Happy Friday. Well, over on Landroval my Warden, Elryyk, is up to 64 finally! Cynnabon there had given me a second age spear I already had one, so I started using it for weapon building until I realized that all the legacies were around tier 5! I swtiched to it, destroyed the one I’d leveld to almost 60, and now he’s happy as a clam killing evil things in Mirkwood.
I also leveled 2 alts (Eldariorn and Vanyasule, and Raegemar)there to 29-32.(Thank heavens for the LotroHearld app, or I couldn’t keep track!)

Not to be confused with all my alts on Elendilmir! Finulos is up to 83, Fiorwyn is up to 81, I have a Thane and 3 other 85s. My Warden Koffee is 78, her sister Kokoe is 64 and sneaking her way through Mirkwood with a lovely first age Burlar’s sword from Filkil. Gandast is attempting to get enough bright emblems of Nimrodel so he can get a first age staff!

The rest are taking turns doing daililes and killing Kramp and Bud-in-the-rug.

    Happy hunting. :)

  9. Eowalf (a-oh-walf) Says:

Just finished making a full set of 1st agers, including a spear, club, javelin, and bow, for myself (warden) and a hunter friend Bisto of the stoors who made me a set of gold armor. love being overpowered in ranged mounted combat, maybe you’ll feel the same in melee Merric.

  12. Rorgg Says:

Alt leveling project: Rohan edition completed round 28, bringing my tally to six level 85s, an 83, a 78, and a 73. With only 3 characters left to level, it’s really picking up the pace!

    Kanati Siquayetsga Says:

It’s been a quiet week on Landroval, my home server, out on the edge of the wilds.

This week Captain Siqua (See-quaah) and Loremaster Pandothrien ventured into Mirkwood as we worked through Volume II, Book 9 of the Epic. We also attempted the Forges of Khazad-dum where I managed to blow myself up four or five times as I tried to seal passages. I think that next time I’ll be the one that kites the trolls since this black-powder stuff is clearly too complicated for a simple captain like me.

In other Siquayetsga (See-quaah-yeh-tss-gaah) clan news, Hunter Kanatii (Kaah-naah-tee) reached Grand Master of the Tailors Guild. Guardian Dagasi (Daah-gaah-see) completed Volume I, Books 2 & 3 of the Epic.

Meanwhile, Loremaster Etawaha (Eh-taah-waah-haa) reports that the highlight of his week was meeting the intrepid naturalist Lilekate (Lily-kah-tea) Buggins at Deadman’s Perch in the Barrow Downs.

  14. Rabbitses Starkfoot Says:

Guardsman Rabbitses Starkfoot the Bold just ganked his first creep in the moors all by himself!

  15. Katiepie (Lilikate) Says:

    (cough!)

That’d be OFFICER Lilikahte, Merric now! The Lonely Mountain Band (Landroval) saw fit to give this small hobbit a promotion!

    Hurray!

  16. Avatar of Melitot of Gilrain
    Melitot of Gilrain Says:

This weekend Melitot the hobbit lass burglar finally completed reconstruction of Hytbold and celebrated with a new blondey hair-do.

Mellebrian the elven Lore-master reached level 85 and received many gifts of Hytbold armour and pretty jewellery from Melitot.

In return Mellebrian made a concerted effort to complete the rather tedious task of learning how to farm in Rohan so Mel can get on with the new pies :)

Finally, it was also a sad day for Mellebrian as she was forced to deconstruct her cherished staff for a new-and-improved version from Rohan.

    It’s been busy!

  17. Hugestaff Says:

Thane of Hytbold! The real win, no more daily grinding!
