Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week.
We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:
- Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
- Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
- Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or finished up Hytbold. We want to hear from you!
These shout outs will appear in tomorrow tonight’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern! First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.
Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

Beloluin, my cooking twink, farmed and cooked himself from level 30 to 35. Leveling speed is getting lower as the required XP per level increase.
Talivael, elven Rk on Maiar
Sidenote:
There is one person on our server (Maiar) having reached level 73 just by crafting (farming, cooking ). He/she calls himself/herself “little onion” (translation from German). The (IMO crazy) goal is to reach level cap at the end of April! He/she is giving away the non-crit food for free or donations to everyone via the global server chat. His/her “project” is sponosored by others players on the server providing ingredients to him/her.

I wonder if Turbine and the game servers are ready for the lack of electricity and abundance of wind and snow?
Belwynne, 85 LM finished her Hytbold armour set and farmed DG with her kin. Belinquent, 33 burglar, and her Newbie Night group finished GA and related quests and is headed for the North Downs, and Bellcari, 68 mini, has hung out in the crafting hall keeping everyone supplied. Very nice week in Middle Earth.

Not a very exciting week for me, but I finished rebuilding Hytbold and yesterday finished getting my first armor set on Helorin Firebeard (RK of “I Make Stuff” on Gladden).

It’s been a quiet week on Landroval, my home server, out on the edge of the wilds.
This week Captain Siqua (See-quaah) of Landroval completed Epic Volume II, Books 6 and 7 with his good friend the incredibly deadly Loremaster Pandothrien of Landroval. Siqua even received “the fabulous Cloak of Shadow Flame” (to quote lotro-wiki.com) for defeating Gwathnor. Along the way, Siqua reached kindred with the Elves of Lothlorien. We also demonstrated that even when over-level some of instances are not to be trifled with as we got repeatably face-rolled by the swarms of bats in Lumul-nar. I think we’ll need a third person for this one.
In other Siquayetsga (See-quaah-yeh-ts-gaah) clan news, Captain Danuwa (Daah-new-waah) of Landroval finally reached Grand Master of the Jewellers Guild. That’s two crafting guilds down, just five more to go.

since a second (active) friend joined LOTRO, I might be able to organise some trio instances/skirms (Survival: Barrow Downs if I can manage it >:D)

This week I logged in! Kidding but only partially.
I beat Favargair “The Troll Keeper” in the North Downs with my solo minstrel 1 level above. I slowly battled my way through the Taur Gonwaith caves which were filled completely to the brim with trolls. My tiny female elven minstrel taking merciless beatings one after another. I found myself waiting to self heal in between battles over and over just before the respawn trapped me. After 35 minutes of fighting I finally saw Favargair. It was a like a tricky chess game maneuvering to only pull one enemy at a time to not get overwhelmed. But I finally did it on the first try and almost died several times in the log fight against him. In the end on my way out I completed the “Advanced Troll Slayer” deed on the way out. Double high five! The repair bill from the adventure was epic.
Spent the rest of the weekend so far just leveling in North Downs.
