Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week.
We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:
- Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
- Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
- Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!
These shout outs will appear in tomorrow tonight’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern! First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.
Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

Eirlog (ire-log) Musclegut, officer of may it be of Riddermark finally climbed to the top of the beacon and is glad he won’t ever have to do it again! Hit kindred with Entwash – only Sutcrofts to go!

The E Pluribus Unum kinship on Nimrodel has a hardy band of adventurers within the kin that is battling instance content on-level. Members of this group rolled up new toons just to participate and the enemy is in disarray.
This week we entered Fornost against the Wraith of Water with a victory. The stalwart defenders of Middle Earth were Torigrish (elf rune-keeper), Thronlin (dwarf champion), Bleepingrayofsunshin (dwarf champion), JetthroTull (man minstrel), Ordwyna (hobbit warden), and our leader, Siomn (man lore-master).
Pronunciation Key to names:
Torigrish = TORE–ee-grish
Thronlin = THRAWN–lynn
Bleepingrayofsunshin = Bleeping Ray of Sunshine
JetthroTull = Jethro Tall, but I shouldn’t need to say anything. *driving guitar/flute solo/lol*
Ordwyna = ORD–whee–nuh
Siomn = Sea–omen

Levelled my crafting alt Belouin, Loremaster of Maiar from Level 7 to Level 30 just by harvesting and processing a few hundred fields respectively crops. At least got 2 Tarnished Crest of Rohan that way (that was the original reason for harvesting so many fields).
I promise: at the latest. when reaching level 45, I will get my LIs and enter Moria in order to learn to play my class!

(Leveling through crafting becomes quite inefficient at higher levels. There is one person on my server, having leveled a char to Lvl 68 so far – just by crafting; crazy!).

Amdacfas from Imladris server finally became Master Artisan Metalsmith at level 56. My crafting has been lagging behind, so need to concentrate to level it up.

Greetings from Middle Earth.
On Landroval I now have Elryyk up to 62 and he’s moved the home to Bree, it’s tiny since there’s no delux available, but that’s okay, because I created an alt on a ‘free account’ who plans on buying the house across the street, so they’ll share. The alt is Eldari, a LM, and he’s already level 13. Also in the main group are: vanyasule, Jollyberry, Eldariann, Raemear and Valaraniel.
On Elendilmir I have four 85s, plus a 77 Warden, 82 Hunter, 80 RK, 58 LM, a second champ at 43 Guard a second RK at 28, a second Mini at 25, a second champ at 26. You might say I’m an altaholic!
I’m looking forward to the Spring Festival and I hope they have something more like the Anniversary event, with those wonderful flying envelopes.
Happy exploring.

Give me a D! “D!” Give me an E! “E!” Give me another E! “E!” Give me a D! “D!” Give me a S! “S!” What’s that spell? Deeds. What was that? Deeds! One more time but louder. DEEDS!!
Saurio on Riddermark (trying to bring some excitement to an otherwise vanilla week)

Our kinship, Rangers of the West on Gladden server started the week with a rollicking pie party at the Prancing Pony. Mmmm. PIE!!!
This is not at all related to my own discovery that I am a Pie Maven-and I have a title that says so right over my head!!! *points upward*
Our kin also has started doing multi level “training” runs of group content-and the results have been a lot of dying, a lot of learning, and a lot of fun.
I highly recommend the exercise.

What constitutes a training run? Would love to hear more about these skill building/kin building missions with an eye to introducing them to my kin.

What we do is announce a time and date, and promote in our kin chat and a weekly kin mail that we will be running something-based on who shows up. The goal is to eliminate that first intimidating intro into grouping. Much more fun to wipe with friends.
We emphasis that this is for fun, learning how our classes work in groups vs solo, and that patience with fellows who are learning is required. (I do this in my _very_ sternest hobbity voice, of course.)
Then, as the appointed time comes in, I start taking names, levels, classes, and we figure out what kind of groupings to use. This takes a little time to organize, as you can expect.
Officers, or other experienced members are in charge of each group. And we run through it. Explain a little before we start what is known about the particular instance, and using every wipe (and there are plenty) to let folks ask questions.
The questions vary from how to set up their group specific skills, to what a target assist is-some folks use voice chat for the first time. When I say training, I mean getting folks comfortable with basics, not making them uber raiders.
This is a little wordy, I know. I shall put an end to my threadjack here. :p If you have some specific questions, I spend most of my time on Gladden and Landroval-LilyRose on Gladden, and Belarieth on Landy.

Calilie, Hobbit Warden-Kindred Spirits-Gladden, reached 61, dove into the Volume 2 Books. Quested her way out to the area just before the ‘Loth’ area.

Camgilnel on Silverlode (call me Cam)
Hit level 63 with a full set of Moria raid gear and began to lay the smack down in Mirkwood. Also took the fight to the watcher and after dying four time the fellowship came out victorious.
