Turbine is looking for players to step up and create an in-game player events for their Fashion Week event scheduled for March 4th – 11th.
This is similar to the Galloping Gala and Summer Fun events last year. The number one complaint we heard with past events was the lack of events across all servers. If you want a player event on your server, maybe offer to host one! Turbine isn’t selecting and choosing their favorite servers, they are only promoting events that players have pulled together.
The event is “Fashion Week” but I see no restrictions that say your event has to be fashion based. This event is to showcase what you like to do for fun and can be open to any type of fun community gathering!
If selected, Turbine will help promote your event and even give you some goodies to give away to your event participants!

Cool I have seen people promoting jousting (mounted spar) tournements in the Riddermark GLFF I will definately make sure I tell the guy who organizes them about this!

Some ideas! A costume or a horse beauty contest. You can have themed competions: dwarven outfit, Shire inspired, working outfit, etc., so people could participate with multiple outfits, one in each different category. Don’t be afraid to have silly categories so people can really get creative: dress as a fruit, a pie, an animal, etc. Having a category for group would be great too! Oh, one for a guild uniforms as well. You could have a jury judging outfits based on color scheme, hair/hat, accessories and overall look. If it’s in-game, be sure to have a shaddy judge to accept bribes, haha.
