Yule Festival Goodies

This morning I have finishing the “More the Merrier” deed tier 3! I got myself up earlier than normal to do dailies during this festival and having the days off between the holidays certainly helped me. I still can’t say I’m a fan of gated goodies but I’m happy I finally have my yeti boots!

I bought the other tier locked goodies just because I could. I also bought the standard horse just because I have all the rest.

Yule PortraitI also got the Yule Portrait for Goldenstar.

I haven’t had much luck with the random sack of gifts. Two of my characters got the Wintry Cap but the rest have been extra tokens, marks etc. Which aren’t bad but I really just wanted the cosmetics so I was feeling all disappointed when I got other items.

Danania was nice enough to share the War-steed Yule cosmetics look dyed as well. The picture shows the cosmetic items dyed navy.

Nice. I think I have missed too many days to do it, but I should get close. IT sucks having all these tokens and I can’t buy anything because I don’t have that dang tier 3 cleared!

I won a Tarnished Symbol of Celebrimbor in on of the festival bags, but it was account-bound, and sadly in don’t have (yet) the crafters i need…

I too, will finish Tier 3 Deed today, have to say it has burned me out of wanting to do any more Yule for more tokens other than for the daily.

Congratulations. I’m still working on my deed, but I have 14 alts now, so it is taking all my time (along with Hytbold dailies). I didn’t know the ws cosmetics could be dyed, so that’s welcomed news.

Congratulations!!! I managed to unlock tier 3 yesterday on 3 of my characters, and like many others have said, I am pretty burned out now on the festival other than the dailies.

    Congrats again!!! :)

    Yay!

I was wondering what a Yeti was doing riding a Warsteed; thank goodness it is just GoldenYeti, queen of the festival!

Cheers to you and all your visitors and thanks for including me. :D

your horse looks pretty in blue, congrats! I lucked out and got the hobby horse on my hobbit and its beyond cute. but other than a boatload of hats no other cosmetic.

I’ll only be taking two char to teir 3 (because they are on diff servers) and the rest will languish at one and two. I’m over the whole gated thing and have no plans on returning to yule next year.

Sadly, while the Yule Fest is my FAVORITE, all the new Tiers opening up caused me to simply do the one snowman I missed somehow previously, buy the last map my alts need for Cartographer (some Forochel got lost in the mail last year after the 2nd toon got it), and go back to grinding Hythbold.
As I am a weekend-only player, they are flatly impossible to even attempt…

Congratulations! I had originally decided I wasn’t going to try the Winter Festival at all, but then I got too tempted by the war-steed cosmetics and that darned Horned cloak. There really aren’t enough “fur” cloaks in LOTRO, and my captain, Bearskin, really needs a proper bearskin cloak.

Long story short, I hit 119/120 two days ago and couldn’t stand it. I bought a festival ticket (for 50 TP. I thought they were 100 so that was actually a pleasant surprise) and grabbed all the stuff. Of course, I felt pretty stupid the next day, when I could have simply run the Keg quest in 10 seconds and finished up for free. >.>

Learn from my mistake, children! Don’t give into greed!

I call my Yeti boots my Yuggs. But a quick question, how many mounts can you get? I only see the three in the barters. I haven’t run the races in North Bree, though, does that give another mount?

I’m a sucker for good cosmetics, well done :) btw I have been unfortunate with the gift bags as well and would love the spiraled horned cloak. Has anyone received anything unique from the gift boxes?

You know, Mara Sandydowns has the best cosmetics in Frostbluff, but she looks so cold all the time.

Well done! I notice that you have the Horseshoe buff in your photo. Have we found out yet how it helps in the Festival? Or in general?

Goldenstar, that can’t be you on that pony because she’s not decked out in pink!! Congrats on the success. I managed to get 3 of them, but with 15 alts, it was impossible to get them for all of them. I, too, loved the Xp and level up all my zero-levels to much higher levels doing mostly festival quests, and my 79 Hunter hit 80, my 42 Guard hit 43 etc. All good.
