LOTRO Developer Twitter Chat – Thursday December 20

December 18, 2012

LOTRO News

LOTRO is hosting a live developer Twitter Chat this Thursday, December 20th at 3pm Eastern.

As far as I am able to remember, this is the first time such a thing has happened. They’ve done dev chats before of course but this is the first twitter hosted one that I can recall.

In attendance for the dev chat will be:

  • Senior Producer Aaron “Rowan” Campbell
  • Lead Systems Designer Matt “HorseDev” Zimmitti
  • World Designer Matt “Scarycrow” Fahey
  • Senior Content Designer Lauren “Budgeford” Salk
  • Senior Content designer Joe “JWBarry” Barry
  • LOTRO Community Manager Rick “Sapience” Heaton

They will be collecting questions via twitter to @lotro with the hashtags #LOTRO and #DEVCHAT or you can leave a question in this forum post. Not all questions posted will get an answer due to time limits but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

I’m going to be very in how this will all work given twitter’s very limited 140 characters. Turbine is asking that your question be short enough that they can retweet it along with the answer. They must be expecting primarily short yes/no with little embellishment type answers? I’ll be watching to see!

Thank you for finding more ways to get in touch with the community. I look forward to discussions. This is a great thing for Lotro as an entity and comes at a much-needed time.

Rank 10 legendarys that have new cosmetics. Will we get more cosmetic options?

No point in asking questions, we never get straight answers anyway. Ask them question such as “when will we get a housing update?” And we’ll get “housing is a very important part of the game” as a reply. I just wish they would let us know what the future of this game is, with the recent job cuts and the delay in content it would be nice to know that the game is safe.

    Dear CASTM

It would be nice if you took the time to ask the devs if they will ever revamp the kinship system. This would add some much needed socialization to this game.

Will anyone get pets besides lore-masters? I play one, but I feel sorry for all those non-LMs.

Time to go out and get booze for the sapience drinking game.

Simple rules every time he replies with “soon” you drink something. You may want an ambulance on standby.

At least we dont have to buy a store token to ask questions.
