This week we talk about Rohan Instance Cluster, temporary public instance closings, bullroarer updates, store news and more!
Goldenstar played Thangulhad skirmish with the Dum group! Other than that she wasn’t able to find any time to play this week.
Snow-beast boots! (and a cloak too) –>
Merric is still working through Rohan with his Champion. Having a bit of difficulty when he has to get off his war-steed but still progressing.

Riddles in the Dark
Riddles in the Dark is a bi-weekly podcast series by Dr. Corey Olsen (The Tolkien Professor) and David Kale. Discussion will focus on the themes, characters, and events of Middle-earth and lay the groundwork for intelligent speculation about how the book may be translated to film. Each episode will culminate in the hosts making a specific prediction about the upcoming films, to be proven or disproven when the films are finally released.
More information on RITD can be found at http://www.mythgard.org/exclusives/riddles-in-the-dark/
What evidence will the audience see in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey of Saruman’s impending villainy?
A. None whatsoever. No hints. The “Christopher Lee” answer!
B. Foreshadowing and dramatic irony, suspicious reactions to news on the council, etc., but nothing definite, and no one suspects him.
C. Some members of the council clearly suspect him and may even discuss it behind his back, but the audience sees no clear evidence.
D. The audience gets clear evidence that Saruman is evil or is becoming evil (even if other characters do not see it).

Since my x-bf & I split up, I am feeling somewhat lost in the game. We met through lotro & have had a long term relationship. We did everything together in game. Unfortunately it leaves me in an awkward place gamewise now. I love playing and would like to still continue, to move on. I made a few alts on other servers but, it’s lonely. I’d like to find a warm kin to join. Any suggestions?

Hey CSTM,
I’m just curious, why is it that slayer deed accelerators get a thumbs up, and virtues from the LOTRO Store get a “meh”? At higher deed levels (kill a bazillion orcs), you’d actually spend less turbine points just buying the virtue outright then buying enough slayer deed accelerators to get the deed done, plus with the virtue purchase you don’t have to grind at all! I agree that virtue purchases at lower levels are a waste of TP, but some of the higher-level ones can save hours of time and some TP, too (versus buying deed accelerators). Just thought I’d ask.
Thanks For All You Do,
Ssenir of LOTRO Library

Cloak and Dagger on Landroval has been the kin I’ve been with the longest, we have a warm atmosphere and have lots of Comradery, just send a msg to any member of the kin and we’ll point our officers.

The Osgiliath Guard on Elendilmir is always recruiting. We’re a casual, friendly kin and we’re always looking for new members. The only basic guidelines are that you have to be at least 25 years old and don’t be a jerk.
If you see one of us in game, asked to be referred to an officer for information on how to join.

Should have called this the Potty Mouth Podcast. “G” guys it has been getting deep in ‘poop’ and ‘crap’ lately.

Guess I need to listen again. I don’t recall swearing in this one?? Our goal is certainly a G rated cast. Sorry if something offended.

I got to ask since I’m thinking about getting back into casual play on Landroval (since my main time is on Gladden, which is hard to find Roleplayers on there) and was wondering what is the name of your guild since I’ll be looking for a good Roleplaying guild that will understand that I’m a busy mommy living in India
December 11, 2012 at 8:43 am
Merric and I are members of Council of the Secret Fire but I wouldn’t call us at all an RP guild. We are a casual friendly social guild.

well friendly is always good when starting or returning to one’s ‘love’…

If your on Landroval check out The Lonely Mountain band! I couldn’t ask for a better group of folks to play with.
December 11, 2012 at 12:11 pm
Already addicted to what music I’ve heard from them (the actual band)

I’m thinking about re-rolling on another server, and would be interested to hear about if it’s worth it, and which ones would be a good fit.
The most important things for me would be…
- Easy to find groups for instances at all levels, not just cap
- Not too much childishness in the chat channels

Check out the Darkwood Marauders on Imladris.
We are an adult (18+) kin. Frienly and helpful. And we have a few other broken hearts you’d fit right in with.
