Player Achievements

Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week.

We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:

  • Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
  • Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
  • Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!

These shout outs will appear in tonight’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern! First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.

Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

I finally finally finally completed all the raids walkthroughs for my plugin: http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info755-PersonalStrats.html

Now any raid newbie in lotro would be able to read about and learn a raid without the need to alt-tab or search in google.

    Happy Friday.

I’ve been home sick all week, so I’ve done a lot. On Elendilmir: My 2 lvl 85s are doing the Hytbold dailies (and crafting quests). I still have an 83, 77, 76, and 75 waiting in the wings for my attention. Gandast my LM got to 51 and formally into Moria (before he sneaked in to get his second Legendary item. My Captain WittyJack Sparrow is 65 and kindred with the Grey Company. My Burg, who was stuck at 31 since the Anniversary Festival, is now 33. On Landroval: My warden Elryyk made it up 58 and is almost out of Moria.

Have a wonderful week everyone and those in the US, a Happy Thanksgiving.

My solo level 34 minstrel wandered in to the Fields of Fornost this week. I am finding there is a fine line where I can either decimate anything I come across or get myself pounded in the ground like a blade of grass. I have to choose my battles wisely!

Another accomplishment is I got 3 random people I met in game to start listening to CStM! They sent me messages a few days later stating that they loved the podcast and the weekly deals section.

Lastly I renamed my kinship to “The Tardy Wizards”. We are open and accepting new members for casual fun only on the Windfola server. Remember, wizards are never late!

Heydrich Thistlebottom is now a level 21 Hobbit Warden and is a skirmisher.

Aslaron Thurinphir, Extra (of Landroval) discovered that he will need panic buttons or retraiting to solo the first Misty Mountains epic quest at level 40, needs to update his lvl 33 items too

Smuso, Dreamer (57.6 warden, Gothic Riders, Riddermark) is very close to the Moria Skirms in the epic quests

Thurinphir SneakyBoots (52 burger, Gothic Riders, Riddermark) is completing the vol 1 epic story before returning to moria (up to Forochel right now)

Mrweird Weirdo, Tutor (76 minstrel, Footsteps of Doom, Crickhollow) is slowly exploring Rohan and is currently ‘On Notice’ :/

I finally bought Rohan, finished the first book in the East Wall (loved the session play instances! those were fun!), completed the Langold quests and earned my Warsteed!

I stayed away from bullroarer while the beta was happening, and now i can see what everyone was raving about, man, Rohan is incredible!

Temperence(my main) Officer of Camp Of Strangers Kin of Dwarrowdelf Server reached level 39 and is on the road to her Legendary Item.

and in the real world I was able to WIN a copy of Chance Thomas’ Rider’s of Rohan Soundtrack CD.

  9. Ervelas Says:

My husband, Curodyn, and I finally made it to 75 and received our war-steeds last night. When RoR came out, we were in the mid-50s, so it’s about time we started catching up to the kin!

  10. Emma Says:

Been a pretty busy week over at the Khazad Guard (there will be a post to follow, honest!)

Ganin and Azaghar our Dwarf Champ/RK duo on Eldar hit 85, have rebuilt a good chunk of Hytbold and have a few pieces of the armour each. They also completed the Epic Book and got their second age bridles, both of which have turned out pretty nice.

All this was just in time (literally, it was the night before)for us to finally meet our new Baby Girl, who arrived only 9 days late. Suprisingly enough with a newborn and a two year old mini dwarf, we have still managed to get online together most nights to at least get the Hytbold dailies done.

  11. mrtoad Says:

    Yesterday:

    1) As a level 84 hunter, I participated in a mounted “pick-up raid” against Bugud. I opened my “present box” from him. Inside was a tarnished symbol! I jumped up and down in excitement and not having to grind and roll against others for months for this. As a class that basically only does 1 thing well (dps) this is so huge for me.

    2) I hit level 85 as fast as possible. A very generous kin-member made my new 2nd age bow which I named “Thorn.” (Wanted to call it “Nuke ‘Em From Orbit” but just didn’t have the guts to break lore like that.) Leveling up my bow, it got an extra major legacy and I applied my long-stored crystal to give it a total of 5 major legacy tier slots.

    3) I did the spider and giant wings in Helegrond with friends and kinnies. Completed both but lost the challenge in each.

All-in-all one of my happiest days gaming ever. A huge shout-out to my incredible kin and all the awesome people on Landroval: you all make up the coolest on-line community I’ve ever been lucky enough to be a part of.

  12. flaminwulf Says:

My warden, flaminwulf, finally entered Rohan yesterday after a lot of epic questing. Overall he ended up gaining 3 lvls, 74, 75, 76, and is well on his way to 77. He quickly burned through the quests to get his war-steed and is now happily riding around the plains of Rohan and killing whatever he finds. All in a day’s work!
