Player Achievements

Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week.

We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:

  • Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
  • Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
  • Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!

These shout outs will appear in tonight’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern! First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.

Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

Finally hit Rank 4 on my Champion.

This week Apis of Landroval reached Kindred status with the Rangers of Esteldin, the Grey Company, and the Algraig of Enedwaith. She finally got to learn the third man dance! Now she only has one faction left to earn the World Renowned pony and title: the Lossoth. Next week I’ll be sending her back up to the frozen north.

  3. Joshua Says:

Cainwen, of the Black Riders of Elysium on Crickhollow, managed to climb the Beacon of Eaworth! And she only fell off twice!

She was very disappointed to discover that there was no Assassin’s Creed-style bale of hay at the bottom to jump down into, though.

I was going to jump to the edge once I was up there and shout “I regret nothing!” before jumping… But I missed the edge. As I fell, I hit some edging on the beacon, which paused my descent, bumped me over and I landed on top of a house… alive. I laughed my butt off.

Got to Grandmaster of the Guild with Tailor’s, Jewelers and Metalsmiths. Scholars and Cooks guild are next up. I have 5 toons that are 75 and over and my Jeweler is 68. Oh, and “Farmville” aka Hytbold, is looking better all the time on my level 85 Captain.

Alexahil my Champion on Nimrodel hit 85 and started the Hytbold grind. Mounted combat is full of win, by the by – just had to say.
He also spend about an hour and a half or so clearing out Urugarth by himself. First time I did it was at 75 – in Glory stance – and barely pulled it off. This time, he was 85 – ran Fervor stance the whole time – and barely broke a sweat.
Still haven’t soloed Mordirith in Carn Dum though. Got to him, but the dread was too much. Next time Mordirith… Next time!!! Mrooooooowwwwrr!!!

  6. Kazren Says:

My level 85 Mini fisnihed the epic quest line and got her second-age bridal and had enough runes, gems and settings to get lvl 75 bridal relics across the board. I also discovered that when you use the relic-removal scroll on the highest tear bridal relic, it gets removed, unlike the crafted weapon relics! So now she’s set! She’s aquiring her Hytbold armour and tearing around after the warbands:actually she rides very slowly tailing them and blasting off her musical and vocal attacks. It works very well for her to ride at a slow pace whenever doing mounted combat. She can rip through the 16 warg riders from the daily Snowbourn quest in under 5 minutes by basically walking through the area and following the hapless warg-riders!

    Have a great week.

  7. Doug L Says:

Went from 72 to 77, finishing by book 6 or whatever it was that got me to Rohan. I’ve been having fun with riding around, but have gone back to my alts. I got two more onto horses and a two flew past level 30 all the way to level 32 or so :)

  8. Thaillin Says:

Thaillin of Nimrodel finally left the dark of Moria and is now chasing orcs around the Dimrill Dale. The celebration is limited though because those darn elves want me to go right back into Moria :) Also was invited into a kin and am at 64 2/3rds on the way to lvl 65 and looking forward to a lvl 65 LI (I’m doing more of a casual crawl to Mordor). Save some warbands for me.

  9. Phenyhelm Says:

Phenyhelm, Captain of Men, has once again returned from far off lands to plant his banner in defense of the free people of Middle Earth.

  10. Avatar of Thurinphir
    Thurinphir Says:

Thurindos, Medic of Mirkwood hit level 50!!!! now waiting on my brother (44) to enter Eregion-Moria

finished vol 1 book 4 with my champion (Aslaron Thurinphir, Extra. lvl 40 on Landroval)

Logged onto my captain on Riddermark (Grenorthil Grakagash the Sinister, lvl 21.9 of Gothic Riders)

managed to finish a tier 2 Attack at Dawn on my Rune-Keeper (with the -23% mark penalty), after dying in the boss fight twice, I started using more skills than ’1 2 1 1 2′ (for me, Fiery Ridicule and Writ of Fire). swapped in some lightning, Chilling Rhetoric on the golbin add/s, Abrut Words on the boss…stuff I should’ve done from the start xD.
I finish the encounter deed for that on that run

    [Badly written summary]
Grenorthil got logged on, probably the last time until 2013. Thurindos is 50 outside Moria and hasn’t touched Eregion. Aslaron is 40 and is requested in the Mountains of Mist. Thurindos failed a tier 2 Attack at Dawn.
    -Thurinphir SneakyBoots
(Thurinphir is going through Vol 1 before entering Moria so the ‘end game’ gear isn’t as worthless, too bad there are Small Fellowship quests in landscape)

  11. buckyball Says:

Edgerond Champion of Landroval finally completed the Epic quest in Mirkwood. (Thanks Pineleaf for the tip on beating the bugged Nazgul) After a brief return to Moria to bury the accursed axe Zigilburk,he then set off in search of the Grey Company. We have passed through Enedwaith into Dunland and Edgerond is now at Level 70 and eagerly helping the enemies of the White Hand.

  12. Jadrax Says:

Finally cleared all of Carn Dum, solo.

  13. eleen Says:

my kinmembers and i made a printscreen for one of the officers thats in hospital at a nice place in the dunbog •The Pristine Glade

  14. Kendwyn Carter Says:

Kendwyn Carter, Warden of the Elendilmir server and member of Black Arrows kin got to level 51 and reached the 21st Hall in Moria last Sunday as well as getting her SECOND set of LIs and found a steel lockbox key!!!!!

  15. Nibs Says:

My burglar, Hammond (Crickhollow), hit 83 and finished off the final (for now) book of the epic quest. Looking forward to 85, when, for the first time ever in LOTRO, I will have a toon at level cap.

  16. Daniel Says:

Went on a death run to the notcrofts on my lvl 47 loremaster… And lived! Now im 50, so next time I will try going to hytbold.
(this was completly solo, by the way)
