Starting today until November 26, 2012 there is a sale on LOTRO Points bundle purchased in the LOTRO Store. They are doubling the bonus points on all bundle packages. The larger the bundle you buy, the better the deal.
Here’s the break down of the approximate cost per 100 Turbine Points for each of the bundles.Values have been rounded to nearest penny.
- $7.99 bundle: $1.14 for 100 Turbine Points
- $19.99 bundle: $1.03 for 100 Turbine Points
- $34.99 bundle: $0.85 for 100 Turbine Points
- $59.99 bundle: $0.68 for 100 Turbine Points
- $99.99 bundle: $0.63 for 100 Turbine Points
- $199.99 bundle: $0.60 for 100 Turbine Points
All these prices should be better than the rate you get from the TP cards you can buy in retail stores. Last time I checked our Walmart was only carrying the $19.99 / 1600 (~$1.25 / 100 TP) cards.1 If you were looking to stock up on some needed points, this is a good sale to catch.
- I don’t go into GameStop if I can avoid it and it’s the only other retailer close to where I live that carries LOTRO Cards. ↩

I hate to be a homer… but this is truly the best deal you can get at the LOTRO store. Still need to only buy store items when they are on sale but this bonus, coupled with a sales bonus is a significant $$-savings.

Its not only the best price you can get at the LOTRO Store, this is the best price on TP we ever see. Like I said, this beats the in-game store cards as well. Unless you get it gifted to you, you aren’t getting TP any cheaper than this.

I don’t know if that image is outdated (and I know it’s the one Turbine is using in their web) or if it’s a different chart for us euro people, but I’m seeing some discrepancies (for the better) with the amounts of TPs. First two tiers are the same, but then:
2500 + 1900 bonus — 4400 TPs — 29,99€
4200 + 5000 bonus — 9200 TPs — 49,99€
8400 + 11200 bonus — 19600 TPs — 99,99€
12600 + 18800 bonus — 31400 TPs — 149,99€

I think you will find it is just how they round things up/balance to take account of the current exchange rate and using “.99″ prices in dollars and euros. The TP Cards alays have different points and different costs, for example. Either way it is a very good deal!
