Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week.
We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:
- Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
- Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
- Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!
These shout outs will appear in tonight’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern! First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.
Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

Finally completed World Renowned Deed on my main Bryar, a captain on Brandywine server. Really helped when I found out certain Enedwaith deeds also provided rep for the Grey Company.
October 26, 2012 at 10:09 am
I got 4 pieces of hytbold set and half-way to be kindred with sutcrofts and norcrofts for the other 2 pieces.
All deeds and Quests done in Rohan, level 85 and all the crafting maxed.
I’m getting without stuff to do before than i though, not cool, but at least i got time to continue with my plugin.
October 26, 2012 at 12:49 pm
Erm you can’t have finished all the deeds. You need Hytbold tokens to do that and those are limited by dailies.
October 27, 2012 at 9:40 am
And slayer deeds i meant, working on hytbold atm.

Busy week!
So by server:
Nimrodel:
Branthien, 40 Captain from the Shirriffs of Cydonia gained Master of the Guild in Tailoring.
Athecael, 53 Rune Keeper from the same kinship caught up with several kinship memeber in Moria and hopefully we’ll start playing together so they can reach the level cap the rest of the kin is nearing.
Alexahil, 76 Champion from the same kinship got his War-steed! Pushed to 5 am to get it done, but meh… I can work tired, can’t I?
Landroval:
Durnric, 32 Captain was complimented on his look as a Rohhirim. Which is amusing since he just had the cosmetics from RoI pre-order on. Can’t wait for him to actually reach Rohan. (Why is it, he has to be 43 levels higher in order to ride a warhorse? Seriously…)
Deasmuain, 40 Lore-Master followed the Fellowship Walk on the final leg of its extended journey to Echad Dunnan! Thankfully when mentioned that he was my toon, Goldenstar didn’t catch that it was also the one who pushed for the floating $.01, and thus I survived the journey. ::grin:: It was fun and we swung by each of the horse points for people to tag. Afterwards, Deas ran over to Echad Mirobel for the last horse point. As I said, busy wee… Zzzzzz…

Happy Friday!
My Elendilmir Champ Eorohir was 84 last Friday morning, he made 85 Friday evening and now has a few pieces of the Hytbold armour and several of the locations in Hytbold rebuilt. He’s kindred with everyone. I have Winney at 80, Koffey at 77, Fiorwyn at 77, and Tolkyn at 76(finally). Several others are waiting their turns.
My “group only” Lore-Master, Gandast, is now 48 in Eregion hoping to get the pages in his book so he can use his sword. And on Landroval my Warden made 58 and is lined up for a first age weapon and high-level skirmishes with Pineleaf all due to winning the Child’s Play auction! I’m thrilled.
Have a wonderful week. I love love love Rohan, the music, the view, and hunting down those mounted evil-doers on the plains (and some times in the waters) of Easternmet.
Have a wonderful week.

Kazren, with RoR coming out all LMs we’re granted the passive skill ‘Sword and Staff’ at level 40 and above. Check your trainer!
The trait you get from the pages adds bonuses to the sword use, but you now don’t need it to actually equip and use it.
I know because, at level 48, my only excitement about RoR were the class changes
October 26, 2012 at 12:56 pm
Finally got my 1000th Badge of Honour! Wait.. game
Anyhow, anyone can direct me or explain what one will get after the purchase of the expansion quest of Rohan in detail, deeds, quests, rewards etc..
Before i purchase it, it would be nice to know every little detail the pack has to offer.
Thank you in advance
(lotro wiki is not update, yet)

With the expansion there are posts on the forum with all the details, but I can tell you the level cap is up to 85, you get an entire huge new area, more of the epic quests, you actually get to play inside Fangorn, and you get a war steed to ride across the vast plains and fight mounted warg-riders, orcs on horseback, and warbands! It’s increcibly fun. There’s also great rewards for completing the quests, secret places to discover, and incredible music.
October 26, 2012 at 2:58 pm
I got to see the eagles Landroval and Meneldor in the Great River area! Pretty excited about that!! \o/
October 26, 2012 at 2:59 pm
Oops, forgot to say my char is Erthera, lvl 76 LM, from Meneldor… actually don’t have a kinship! =S
October 26, 2012 at 8:19 pm
that was my big thrill too this week
October 26, 2012 at 4:12 pm
I was able to get my 6th piece of Hytbold armor on Tuesday morning. It took me exactly 7 days to get all the pieces. (3 Huntsman + 3 Bowmaster set)
I also lucked out and got a Tarnished Symbol of Celebrimbor from the Warmaster Bugud warband Gift Box and crafted a kickass bow.
I achieved kindred with the four new factions (Men of the Wold, Men of the Norcrofts, Men of the Sutcrofts and Men of the Entwash Vale). With that I am back to having kindred in all reputations except The Eldgang, but I am close to that now. I even have both Inn League and Ale Association as kindred on this same character.
Now it’s time to work at finishing all the deeds of Rohan, and that includes rebuilding Hytbold to the max (to complete all the deeds). That’ll take a while
All my other Eriador/Rhovanion deed tabs are cleared, must clear this one now too!
I am an utter completionist so I gotta keep on Hunterin’…

An abstract for the podcast:
It’s been a quiet week in Landroval, my home server, out on the edge of the wilds. This week, Captain Siqua had the pleasure of walking from Rivendell to the Sirannon Gate of Moria with that intrepid pathfinder Goldenstar.
The other highlight of the week was an unexpected PUG foray into all four wings of Fornost. Even though we were short-handed, we acquitted ourselves pretty well. Sadly, we couldn’t down the final boss. We’re coming back to get you Remmenaeg!
I spent the rest of the week exploring ruins and hunting bad-guys and achieved “kinship” with The Wardens of Annúminas. I even got to help an Ent fight a legion of wood-trolls and a black-huorn. I also talked to some weird blue water-lady. The blue-gal says she’ll let me into the tomb that the Rangers want me to go into. I think it is a trap. Anyone for The Tomb of Elendil?

Here’s the complete version:
It’s been a quiet week in Landroval, my home server, out on the edge of the wilds. This week, Captain Siqua had the pleasure of walking from Rivendell to the Sirannon Gate of Moria with that intrepid pathfinder Goldenstar Lhim in celebration of the CTSM Fellowship Walk fundraiser for Child’s Play. I applaud Goldenstar and Merric for organizing this event every year and offer my commendations for all those that donated. Great job everyone.
The other highlight of the week was an unexpected PUG foray into all four wings of Fornost with some new friends. Even though we were short-handed, we acquitted ourselves pretty well even though we couldn’t down the final boss, yet. We’re coming back to get you Remmenaeg!
I spent the rest of the week exploring ruins and hunting bad-guys for the Rangers in Evendim. I even got to help an Ent fight a legion of wood-trolls and a black-huorn. I also talked to some weird blue water-lady. The parley went well enough, I think. In any case, the blue-gal says she’ll let me into the tomb that the Rangers want me to go into. I think it is a trap.
I’m still convinced that they are secretly trying to get me killed in revenge for that unfortunate incident with, what was his name? Amway? Amdolt? Amdum? Amdir! That’s it! Ever since Amdir’s killing spree, every Ranger I bump in to has sent me off on one “impossible” mission after another. After which they acclaim me with some new title to lull me into complacency while they dream up their next attempt to assassinate me. They’re now saying I’m kindred with their Evendim branch and calling me “Warden of Annúminas” but I know that those sneaky Rangers have dreamed up some new trap in these crypts I’m supposed to explore for them. I’ll let you all know what the trap was next week… if I survive…

Thurinphir (lvl 51 burglar, Gothic Riders, Riddermark) did more of her volume one epics (up to Tal Bruinen)
*SPOILERS* Thurinphifnirol discovered that the wormtomgue session play (in Isengard prison) will consistantly crash the client *END SPOILERS* , as will attempting to do the next Floodwend quests. only ~20 riddles of the forsaken inn left to be a riddle master
I’ve retraited to fire for the 2nd time ever (although I kept my Hardy Companion, Master of Beasts, Noble Savage and Eagle)
Thurinphifnirol was making a new ‘outfit’ for his fire damage, only missing shoes… (this outfit is vibrant red with a patterned questing cloak and YELLOW Sun Hat!!!)
Used Thrilnilmo (guardian, The Footsteps of Doom, Crickhollow) but got bored after the first of ‘The Twilight Estates’ :/
Zagrush Zergrush (rank 2 reaver, Minions of Mordor, Riddermark) is 80 infamy off next rank and has 2 quests set up for his TA Travel Tier one (his first map)
other than that, I made a map of the Delving (should be somewhere in http://www.flickr.com/thurindos)
-Thurinphifnirol Swiftfoot, Beacon of Hope (soon to be Riddle-Master!)

sigh, no punctuation? looks like you’ll have to read Thurinphifnirol’s paragraph in one breath

My main, Illyriawen, on Landroval after 2 years and 4 months finally finished Vol 1 of the Epic quests and made level 60 this week. Just started the quests in the 21st Hall. I enjoy wandering around way too much.

This has been one of the most enjoyable weeks I’ve ever had in Lotro. I had an absolute blast enjoying two auction winnings from the Fellowship Walk. Thanks to Floradine’s excellent instruction Bellcari (mini on Landroval) conquered her fear of the music system and she also ran 3 of the Dul Goldur skirm’s with Pineleaf. The two couldn’t have offered friendlier, funnier or a finer experiences in-game.
Belwynne (LM on Landroval) joined in the last leg of the Fellowship Walk (and would like to thank all the excellent guards that kept us safe…I was sandwiched between two level 11′s as we walked to the Gates of Moria and we didn’t see nary a lightning bug) as well as our intrepid leader, Goldenstar. Belwynne also discovered enough patterns in her vault to complete her tailor guild rep. Icing on the pie-cake.
Great week in Lotro.
