Player Achievements of the Week

Player Achievements

Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week.

We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:

  • Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
  • Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
  • Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!

These shout outs will appear in tonight’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern! First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.

Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

  1. Sparthir Says:

My achievement was sadly only being able to play for 15 minutes. Rode to the Wode in that time and crashed.

Sad to say that it has been the most unstable time I’ve ever experienced since the game Beta’d. Unable to play any more since Riders of Rohan because I can’t load any of my characters. :(

I know not much of an achievement but I have to hold onto those 15 minutes that I did have. *sigh*

  2. Thurinphir Says:

Most of my creeps, of the Minions of Mordor, Riddermark now have their skills/audacity/traits
Thurinphifnirol Swiftfoot (lol I forgot the kin name xD, Riddermark) hit 74 and got his warsteed of Rohan!!!

Mrweird Weirdo, The Footsteps of Doom, Crickhollow also got his warsteed and half a level

  3. Damglin Says:

Last week I leveled my main up to 79 and rode across the plains of Rohan taking down everything I saw. I am now questing in the Norcrofts and enjoying the story as I go along with it.
    Damglin, Light From Shadow, Meneldor

  4. Damper Says:

Damper, champion of Anduin hit 75 on sunday, one day before the release of RoR! Having been around for more than a year but not at lvlcap when Isengard hit, it was great to be among those who wandered into Rohan for the first time on the day of release.

  5. Adhrean Says:

Hullo Merric & Goldenstar! My main toon, Adhrean on the Riddermark server, Man Champion reached 85 last night! He’s been enjoying Rohan since launch and have already started rebuilding Hytbold to get his armour set and the title of Thane.

Hope you guys and the team at CSTM is enjoying Rohan as much as I am, cheers.

    Adrian,
Leader of the Black Veil Mercenaries kinship,
    Riddermark

  6. Saelyth Says:

Saelyth is level 85, My achievement has been to be able to solo all Warbands :D

  7. Saurio Says:

    Glorys:
-dinged lvl 60 and went on a shopping spree with my saved moria medallions
-attended a kin party and got to run some raids with everyone
    -led my first 6-person instance

    Defeats:
-travelled to the Bridge of Khazad-dum for the first time. Panned my camera to look around, then forgot I was still facing the edge and “accidentally” swan dived into the foundations of stone. Forgot to yell, “go-go Hobbit parachute.”
-organized a Skumfil run so I could get my mini class quest done. Got confused by the upside-down map and ended up going right instead of left.
Saurio Bumblerod, Lords of Moria, Riddermark

  8. Dahd of Gladden Says:

Dahd (minstrel) made it to level 72 and for some reason, started to feel a bit squishy..

My little hobbit (13 hunter) is now a Master Eastemnet Farmer, Cook and Grand Master of the Cook’s Guild!

    I won an auction!

Hello! Elahedor of Vilya managed to hit level 85 on Wednesday, and he’s friendly with all the factions in the Eastemnet. He is also Eastemnet Master in all his professions (Woodworker, Farmer, & Forester).

I also got in on many of the warbands throughout the region, including Warmaster Bugud (700K + morale). I died 3 times, but thanks for revival tomes to keep me in the fight.

I’ve started working on the Hytbold dailies, and the mead-hall is coming along nicely. Can’t wait to see how it looks all done.

This is the quickest I’ve ever tackled an expansion, but I am on vacation this week; thus, I could put in lots of hours of playtime. Even so, I’ve really enjoyed Eastern Rohan. And, while I don’t really like maneuvering the horse in general, I really love fighting on horseback.

The story-telling, as usual, has been enthralling, and the landscape is amazing. Well done, Turbine!

    Danania of Danania.net

I got my Warsteed and I am as excited as an-excited-electron-in-a-higher-energy-state! Even more exciting was seeing all of the cosmetic options from the various steeds. I slowed forward progress just to enjoy the moment. :D

I wrote about it here with pictures of the various cosmetic options.

    Hi,
Got Eorohir on ELendilmir up to 84 and now I’m laboring in Hytebold. Winney got to Harwick and now is a persona non gratis. Then my Historian, WEaponsmith, Cook and Woodsman all made Grand Master in their respective guilds.

  12. Araward Says:

Hi this is Araward of the Highguard of Numenor kin on Landroval.

My achievement was THREE YEARS in the making and I amazingly (and finally) achieved it last weekend.

Given that I prefer to accomplish many achievements the intended and often times more challenging way, I decided that I would achieve ALL of my Spring Festival Fortune deeds ONLY by finding each of the fortunes in Extra Deliciously Tasty Biscuits that I bartered for myself during the Spring Festival. (No trades or Auction House purchases.)

Also I would only eat a single biscuit on the days that I logged in.

The first year I had gathered what I thought would be plenty of biscuits for the task and yet by the time I had finished all my biscuits that year, I had only completed a single Festival Fortune deed out of the 5 deeds.

After the 2nd year, I’d bartered for nearly two full stacks of Extra Deliciously Tasty biscuits (close to 200). Alas after I finished ALL those biscuits, which took me just about till the next Spring Festival, I’d still only finished two more deeds!

However, I had only one fortune left for each of the remaining two deeds I needed.

So this Spring Festival, I gathered another 100 biscuits, and began eating away day-after-day that I logged in on my main. I completed one of the remaining deeds fairly soon afterward, but alas even as my biscuit stack dwindled, Fortune #5 of the ‘Oddly Familiar’ deed continued to elude me. I was getting concerned this would become a 4 year long journey.

That is until FINALLY last weekend when I coughed Fortune #5 into my hand!

It was quite the thrill, given that it took me so long, and it easily made up for the fact that I still haven’t seen a skeleton steed drop after 3 years of trying.

    Azakael Says:

Athecael, 51 Rune Keeper of Nimrodel finished up his questing in Forochel and then made his way to Eregion.
Alexahil, 75 Champion of Nimrodel has entered Rohan. Yup. ‘Bout it.
Short week due to some crafting of the mines and visiting a friend.

  14. LilyRose Says:

A big week for a little (but fierce) hobbit.

Our pre-Rohan event, Rippling Manes and Tailfeathers on Gladden was a great success (many thanks to all who came out) and then on Monday-Rohan!!!

LilyRose started with a summons from Lady Galadriel, and is now helping the woeful Rohirrim in Elthengels at level 79. Her warpony is named Bella, and sports a wee little orc-head on a pike, thanks to a now dead warband leader. (See, I told you she was fierce!!!)

Really enjoying Rohan, and can’t want to get my Landroval Minstrel up to level cap to explore it all over again. :)
