These are great ways to finish up deeds quicker and reduce the grind. If you’re like me and find the idea of killing 320 wargs to earn a virtue a chore than you will definitely like these little boosters. Merric loves them. A lot. See Merric’s Store Explorer post on the Slayer Deed Accelerators.

Weekly Sale

Clothing, Cloaks & Accessories

Choose a fresh look from the huge selection of LOTRO Store Clothing, Cloaks & Accessories! Cosmetic Bundles not included in sale.

Store Location: Cosmetics → Clothing ; Cosmetics → Cloaks ; Cosmetics → Accessories
Levels: All
195-295
137-207

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: Yay for a clothing sale! However I cannot give this a thumbs up because these are simply frilly fun items and there may be more useful things you could purchase (like what I dunno… clothes are important!). One thing I will caution you on is that some of these items are available to obtain in game either with skirmish marks, reputation or from an in-game festival (if you can bare to wait).

Be an informed purchaser and visit Darzil’s LOTRO Crafting Guide first. If it can be earned or purchased in game. Darzil’s got your info! Nothing wrong with buying what you wish in the LOTRO Store, I just rather you know that the the item you are buying is a store exclusive or not rather than be annoyed to find out later!

Shared Wardrobe

Hoard away, share, and stay organized! Get up to 120 additional slots of storage for cosmetic items within the wardrobe and share amongst characters on your account! Fill your wardrobe with a plethora of cosmetic clothing and accessories available in the LOTRO Store!

Store Location: Account → Account Storage → Shared Wardrobe Space
Levels: All
495
347

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: This is the sale for the folks like me who believe there is no such thing as enough wardrobe space. However, I do understand there are folks how could care less about cosmetics so their Turbine Points are better saved for another day. It gets a “meh” rating only because it really depends on the player for this one. Nevermind that Goldenstar thinks you are completely insane for not wanting to buy this.

Also note that 30% off is higher than normal percentage so this is one of the better deals we’ve seen on this particular item!

You can learn more about these items plus much more about cosmetics in general in our cosmetics roundtable!

Cosmetic Outfit Slots

Slot your character’s new cosmetics without having to store them in your individual inventory bags. Save additional cosmetic-ensembles and quickly change outfits on the fly! Unlock up to seven total cosmetic outfit slots for all characters on your account!

Store Location: Account → Cosmetic Outfit Slots
Levels: All
495
347

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: These ONLY get a meh because having them or not will in no way enhance your characters ability to fight, level, etc. It will however enhance your ability to look fabulous while doing all those things! More outfit slots means more opportunities to show up to that event and be able to switch into the perfect attire.

You can learn more about these items plus much more about cosmetics in general in our cosmetics roundtable!

Emotes

Take advantage of this sale to build up your Emote collection and express whichever mood your character is in! Emote Bundles not included in sale.

Store Location: Character → Emotes
Levels: All
95-250
67-175

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: I love emotes, however they are in no way needed to help advance your character. It’s just for fun! They are per character so make sure you are on the character you want to use that emote before purchasing. The emote bundles are not part of this sale.

I will throw out there the warning that most emotes in the LOTRO Store can be earned in game either through deeds, festivals or reputation.

DO NOT TRUST THE STORE EXCLUSIVE LISTING IN THE STORE. They have several in the store exclusives category that are able to be earned in game (namely all the golf emotes).

Here is a listing of the current store exclusive mounts (and links videos of me doing it if available). I was able to find all of the store exclusive emotes in the store and on sale except for /howl. I couldn’t get some to show up just by browsing and I had to use the search so try that if you’re not seeing a specific emote you are looking for.

Dyes

Alter the colors of your character’s clothing and armor with hues such as Forest Green, Gold, Evendim Blue and Violet! Available in single and 5-stack uses.

Store Location: Cosmetics → Dyes
Levels: All
25-450
18-315

Dyes are pretty easy to obtain in game and there are no store exclusive dyes. Before shelling out any real life money for your favorite color, I’d check with a friendly neighborhood scholar or your server’s auction house.

I was waiting to buy my captain the mount rear up emote till he’d earned enough TP, but now with the sale I got it earlier than anticipated. :D

Also placed a Shared Wardrobe and Cosmetic Outfit slot upgrade in my cart. There can never be enough of either!

While I’ve now maxed out my wardrobe and consider that a good investment of TP… who would spend 315 (450) TP on a dye or five? :S Especially when on every server, I’m sure, there are plenty of friendly scholars who could make you the dyes for a few silvers or even free!

    Awesome as always Goldenstar!

The “free” stuff isn’t always special, but a Free Slayer Deed Accelerator! Everyone can find a use for that especially since they are good in instances, raids, etc. There are some DN trolls in the not so distant future that are marked for accelerated slaying. :D

    Thanks for your timely news!

Such much fluff to wade through. I noticed that emote bundles dont disappear if you have all the corresponding emotes. I had all the ones from the silly bundle, and could still get it. I also have sneeze and spin, but am not certain if that “bundle” is some sort of combo move for people too lazy to type /sneeze AND THEN /spin. Also, wiki has /warmhands and /snowwizard as Yule Fest tradeables, but the store lists them exclusive, not sure which is accurate.

Warmhands and snowwizard have not yet been available to purchase with festival vendors. It has only been store exclusive.

I believe the bundle for sneeze and spin is just buying both emotes and not some sort of combination.

Looks like it’s high time to pick up another cosmetic outfit slot! With the soon(ish) changing on the season, and RoR around the bend, we’ll need it.

Just pointing out a small typo, so you have it fixed up for that item posting in the future, the paragraph under the Emotes starting “Here is a listing of the current store exclusive mounts” should probably be “emotes” instead of “mounts.”

Now if only they offered a packaged deal of Paper/Scissor/Stone…I still probably wouldn’t buy it. But…it would be nice to offer one anyways, for a reduced TP price of course.

I cannot find the /howl emote anywhere… have searched multiple times to no avail. Has it been removed?
