Andang is spreading his wings from just writing here on CSTM (he’s still planning on continuing to contribute here) to making some weekly videos on his new YouTube Channel: PvMPAndang.
Andang with his sister Spridra plan to cover a lot of PvMP from a new character point of view, mounted combat and plans to evolve from there to whatever he and his audience finds interesting.
They’ve got a few episodes released already. Embedded in this post is the first offering featuring mounted combat. Burglars will be interested in this episode as they show how Burglar stealth happens.
They also go and fight a warband on the plains of Rohan showing how this will work from a melee player (champion) point of view.

for those eager to know, before watching the video, mounted stealth is a ‘disguise’ that enhances skills similar to normal stealth. Don’t think it provides sneaking though

Yeah I love that line from the new video; It is the funniest part.
We realize that it only enhances skills similar to normal steath but that is really the only good way to help people understand how it works…but yes thanks for the clerification.

This video is great footage. Just a thing I’ve been noticing from watching mounted combat videos, it seems like it prolongs combat. Like in the beginning when he was killing a regular mob it seemed like it was taking longer for him to kill it because he had to move around and come back around. Just an observation. It would be a bummer if you had to make like 8 passes to kill a mob that would take only a a second or two on foot to kill.

Mounted combat gets much faster once you level up your mount because you can get more speed, speed up rate and DPS.
Also keep in mind that the questing system is much more efficient in Rohan and so you will not come back to the same place twice (for quests). Also there are auto start and auto finish quests which really speed things up. Lastly you move much faster on your mount allowing you to get to combat much quicker so you might as well stay on your steed. Another reason it is so slow in the video is because I am trying to talk, do camera angles and maximize my DPS and didn’t really do anywhere near my max DPS. Actual mounted combat (currently) only takes 5 passes max on normal mobs.

The armor looks like the generals armor you get from Fil Gashin(Sp?) when you have to sneak around.

Acording to Google it is spelled Fil Gashan…and yes it does look like it is very similar armor. It also kind of reminds me of one of the Warleader anniversary skins.
