Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week. We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:
- Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
- Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
- Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!
These shout outs will appear in tomorrow’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern on Saturday!
First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.
Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

got shiny new internets, immediately started creeping as my weaver
Gilhildor (warg, Minions of Mordor, Riddermark) ranked up to rank 5 and bought the passives
Gilhildon (weaver, same) is halfway to rank 5
Grakagash (defiler, same) is now rank 2
I also tiered up my scholar (now tier 4) and weaponsmith (now rank 3) on Riddermark
Gilhildor solo’d a (bad) hunter away from the NPCs in a defence of TR (got me enough to rank up)
September 7, 2012 at 5:29 pm
and I won PAX steeds on Smuso, Thurindos and Smuso (BoA, can only link it to chat/store it)
made couple of new outfits for some of my characters (and got 4th outfit slot (was bored of Thurinphir’s 3 outfits, but didn’t want to lose them)) eventually, when I get Rallying Cry-power restore, I’ll make my captain (depending on which one I use) a green outfit from Eorlingas armour/Isengard ones, possibly with this Sun Hat I got
and I bought 2 wardrobe purchases (for 10 slots each), currently have the Lore-Master starting robe, Summer-fest cloak, Sun Hat and Makeshift Ranger’s Mask

when I opened my lottery-lockbox (with matching key
), it gave me 30 store-lvl-20 potions. This was for my captain so it isn’t as bad as it could be
(Grenorthil Grakagash, Ancients of Arnor, Riddermark (with minions Grainorthel and Gronifall)) (going with a sage)

(sorry for the many posts)
Thurinphale* and Thurindos (hunter and Rune-Keeper, Ancients of Arnor, Riddermark), hunter is 43.5 and rk is 44.5. neither have any legendary traits! and both want their class quest! and neither care about the capstones!
*pronouced Thur-in-fail, I had a low opinion of hunters when I created him

(nervously steps up to the mic for the first time…)
Hello, I am Danania, Supergirl of Lorien. I am most proud that my Steed Gallery is now online. I have 79 of the 90 steeds available, and have pictures of the rest (except a couple which I am working to fix). If you would be so kind and are inclined to do so, please enjoy stopping by and seeing all the pretty horses.
Home page = http://www.danania.net/
Steed Gallery is easily found on the button “All the Steeds” at the top…

September 7, 2012 at 11:05 am
Genthar of Landroval, Ardamil and Elthair finally got enough cash to buy themselves a deluxe (empty) house. Almost the perfect location!
By the way, Elthair and Ardamlil are level 22, Genthar is level 18…

Killed ivar again in OD. next week is the last one. Took me 3 months but i will finally be the first player in Riddermark with the title Ivar’s Champion and the “nice” cosmetic.
Working in my plugin with bug fixes and adding a new feature that will make everyone love it.

Just got my hobbit hunter up to level 52 and got kindred with Thorin’s Hall so I can get a stupid goat. So ready for Moria!
September 7, 2012 at 4:09 pm
After a fresh start on Landroval a during the welcome-back weekend we have the following achievements:
Dagasi (Terrapin) Siquayetsga of Landroval (guardian): Level 21 and “The Undying”
Danuwa Didatinehi (War Captain) Siquayetsga of Landroval (captain): Level 20, The Undying, Studier of the Equine
Etawaha Tsistatla (Deadwood Lighter) Siquayetsga of Landroval (loremaster): Achieved the “A Well Ordered Mind” title (completed “A Well Ordered Mind” class quest).
Kanatii (Lucky Hunter) Siquayetsga of Landroval (hunter): Achieved the “Swift Arrow” title (completed “The Hunter’s Path” class quest).
I didn’t have time to get any other characters past level 20, but we should have a couple more next week.
Thanks to multi-boxing, the Landroval chapter of the Gurth an Glamhoth kinship has been formed, albeit just as a tiny friends and family kinship. I was reluctant to join a real kin on Landroval until after I’ve decided if I am going to focus on the characters here or on my higher-level characters on Silverload. I hate leaving people in the lurch.
Not much happened on Silverload this week:
Danuwa Siquayetsga of Silverload (captain); Won the PAX Perlino steed in the lottery. It’s pretty. I just wish a character that I’m actually playing had won it.
Obviously it will be while before I get to Rohan.

I’d love for you to email me about your experiences multiboxing and your setup.
September 8, 2012 at 6:07 pm
Addendum:
Etawaha also reached level 20 and received “The Undying” title Saturday morning.
Multiboxing:
Mostly I’m just an administrative multiboxer. I have multiple accounts because, as a confirmed altaholic, I need more than 17 character slots to get every race-class combination among my hoard of alts. I multibox so that I can invite my alts to my guild without taking anyone else’s time to do the invites.
There’s nothing special about my setup. I have a dedicated gaming PC and I run a second copy of LOTRO on my Macbook using Crossover. Commands are done manually (without any macros or command pass-through) using a USB mini-keyboard for the laptop and a Logitech G-13 for the PC. This is inefficient since one hand is moving between the G-13 and the mini-keyboard. I usually put a minstrel on /follow as a healing pet. It’s nowhere as good as grouping with a real healer, but can help. Sadly, it’s not even as good as buying tokens using the Herbalist skirmish pet.

LilyRose of Gladden managed to get friendly with the stiff-necked Rohirrim of Theodred’s riders, and loremaster Astarwen got her first and second legendary items, and A NEW EAGLE! Pretty, and deadly birdies for the win!!!

My Elf Champ (Lelirnel, Landroval) is officially lvl 40 as of yesterday

Kinship: Armed and Dangerous
September 7, 2012 at 9:42 pm
I won 2 pax steeds, on my hunter and guardian. Levelling my guardian, the long road has taken me to Angmar for the second time, at level 46. Here, I discovered that I could take on elite drakes 3 levels above me. Not only has the rekindled my guardian love, but it has shown me that games are usually more fun when they challenge you, something lotro. (to me at least) doesn’t do enough.

All on Imladris, forbidden few kinship
September 8, 2012 at 12:04 pm
Braxwolf of Windfola was fortunate to be promoted to officer by the lovely and talented members of the Malledhrim Defenders kinship while also hitting level 65. 65 feels like an especially momentous level since that was the level cap when I started playing LOTRO. Looking forward to continuing my leisurely pace through Middle Earth with the most awesome and helpful kin in the game. Now, on to Isengard!
September 9, 2012 at 7:47 am
might’ve uncovered why I love my bog-lurker
When my pet is taller than my character, does more DPS, tanks better and has more range than me, as well as being immune to knockback and on-level, he becomes my silent friend. (and I love his outfits) -Thurinphifnirol and his ‘Turtle’
(Thurindos got his class quest, will probably wait for brother to catch up before starting Moria-instance)
((and BUFFYBUFFBUFF is the best bannerguard name))
September 10, 2012 at 6:19 pm
I finally finished Tower of Orthanc this week with my kin Eternal Destiny on Arkenstone. We didn’t have a guard online so I solo tanked Saruman on my warden and we cleared it first run, no wipes. It was epic!
