Fall Festival is Live!

Events

Fall (Harvestmath) Festival is once again in Middle-earth and that means time to do some scaring and getting lost in the Haunted Burrow! Festival is open until October 14th according to the LOTRO Calendar.

We are not expecting the festival to be drastically different from last year  but we will have a new updated festival guide up as soon as possible once we run through everything and note all the changes.

Harvest-Brew-SteedThe Malaysian MMO Gamer did send us a picture of this year’s new steed via twitter to share. It is called the Harvest-brew steed.

It appears to have the same pretzel design as the Treasure Hunt’s Harvest-brew goat (although I don’t see the tankard dangling but it should be on the other side). It costs 60 Fall Festival Tokens, 2 race tokens and 1 document of mount ownership.

The 2012 guide is now available!!

Sorry I did not include a picture of the other side, but just to confirm there isn’t a tankard dangling on the other side. There is however a row of mugs hanging at the back. =)

This festival is historically easy to obtain tokens on between all the dailies at the burrow to the frequent chests you can open, etc. I would bet you could easily get 60 tokens in a few hours.

      – granted i haven’t played this years yet. this is just how it’s been in the past.

Yep, 36 tokens in around an hour (but only cuz i was lagging REALLY bad coming into and out of the burrow). And that was just the burrow quests, chests and tricks/troves, one of each. Very easy to obtain tokens!

Also, I just nailed 60+ tokens in less than 4 hours, via doing the Haunted Barrow stuffs, the apple/geode/etc games, and horse racing…this wasnt even trying with a few trips to the auction house and mailbox and stuff in between. Not bad I guess seeing as how its the first time Ive done these events :3

Thank you very much for sharing this picture of the steed.

I will definately stick with my new goat, which makes grinding a festival on 5 worlds MUCH easier.

This is a very fun festival & I look forward to taking a break from other more pressing things to relax in the shire for a bit.

    See everyone there!

So soon? It’s like we’re going from one festival to another without a rest, lol. Not that I’m complaining, I love festivals!

I’m getting used to the new continuous festival thing now and learning to pace myself a bit! I skipped at least the last two festivals, so I’m probably about ready for this one! :)

I think this will be the end of the stream of endless festivals, though the treasure hunt wasn’t really a festival. The spring and summer ones were later than normal because of the anniversary festival going overtime, then we had the new farmer’s faire in between those. Now the fall festival is earlier than normal to get it over before Rohan goes live. I think we’ll be back on a normal schedule from here.

Also, If you have either Inn league or Ale association faction, you can buy 3 festival tokens for one badge of good/bad taste. That run takes an hour without a hunter (or less, I think I have it to <40 minutes) Group with a hunter and you can do it even faster.

The Mystery Wing contains 3 chests: Out-of-Place Strongbox, Out-of-Place Chest and Out-of-Place Lockbox. All can be looted once per hour with each giving its own debuff. As to contents, thus far I have looted them 3 times each and received between 1 and 3 Fall Festival Tokens per chest on each looting.

The Poorly-Hidden Chest is behind the bookcase in the Basement as per your diagram.

The current year Festival Steed and last years are for sale at Hengstacers Farm and the 2010 version is available in the store. The 2009 version is not available.

Everything else from your 2011 guide seems to be accurate for this year.

    Cheers,
    Eccentrica

Please edit my last comment. Poorly Hidden Chest is behind the Barrel-rack not the bookcase.
