Starting today until September 24 2012 there is a sale on LOTRO Points bundle purchased in the LOTRO Store. They are doubling the bonus points on bundle packages. The larger the bundle you buy, the better the deal.
Here’s the break down of the approximate cost per 100 Turbine Points for each of the bundles.Values have been rounded to nearest penny.
- $7.99 bundle: $1.14 for 100 Turbine Points
- $19.99 bundle: $1.03 for 100 Turbine Points
- $34.99 bundle: $0.85 for 100 Turbine Points
- $59.99 bundle: $0.68 for 100 Turbine Points
- $99.99 bundle: $0.63 for 100 Turbine Points
- $199.99 bundle: $0.60 for 100 Turbine Points
The two larger packages beats the cards you can buy in the retail store. If you were looking to stock up on some needed points, this is a good sale to catch.

A point sale, and a Legendary Tier-up/added slot sale at the same time.

The Steam client offers a differnt price view than the one in the article.
I made a screenshot of the store in the Steam client and I don’t see double bonus points there.
Screenshot is here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2650896/casualstrolltomordor_com/steam_store.png

Is this a screenshot of your in-game store or some advertisement on steam?
The LOTRO download you get from steam is no different than any other download so there’s really no such thing as a “steam client”. There should only be one version of LOTRO, you just happen to connect to yours with steam.

I wish it were so, but when i click the store icon in game, it says i have to click another time to go to the steam store. I’ll make screenshots of that Saturday. So although the client is the same, when you start it tru Steam, the store seems different.

I just checked in the store. I am seeing the sale with the bonus points just fine.
Not sure how yours can be different though even if showing in euros instead of USD.

Maybe because i entered the steam coupon code for the horsey and points?
This is what I see when i click the store icon in game and click “Add Points”:

After clicking “Purchase Points” I get the options posted before:

I’m a former Codemaster Lifetimer and my credit card details will tell Turbine to charge in Euro’s. So no surprise there, maybe when you get charged in Euro’s the point bundles differ?

I definitely don’t see the Steam detail in your first picture. Merric switched to using a steam download (I think he told me that), I’ll ask him to look. I start my program through Steam but it’s till the original download of LOTRO I’m using.

The Steam logo is in the Top-middle of the center square, and the text in the square is: “Click the button below to purchase points using Steam”. (First link in my second post https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2650896/casualstrolltomordor_com/steam_store%20entry.png)

Ok figured it out. You are seeing the double bonus points. Even with your steam clicky it’s still doubled. Merric did it on his account and saw the same but his points were the proper doubled amount.
Your doubled amount is different due to the different currency. Look at this page in german to see the Euro double
http://www.lotro.com/lotrostorepointpromo?lang=DE
31,400 for the largest option is the correct amount for Euros.

Aha thanks for figuring this out!
