The following items are on sale from August 17-23rd. Below you will find the sale listings as well as our recommendation on purchasing.
Free Sample of the Week
This is basically utilizing the stored or rested experience that VIPs get to give a blue bar on your experience bar of enhanced experience which just means a slight boost to mob kills. VIP’s characters get this by simply not playing their character for a bit and it will build up, or they have the option to buy it with destiny points. However, VIPs can still utilize this item to add more rested experience to their XP bar.
This is probably preferred type of experience boost if you have limited playtime or experience a lot of interruptions. This isn’t time limited like the other boosters that give you a boost for a specified time. This will give you a boost for as long as that blue bar lasts, so you’re not rushed to get the most experience you can in a specific timeframe to get your TP worth of this bonus.

Limited Release
Mines of Moria cosmetic gear is available in the LOTRO store for those interested until August 30th. This is for cosmetic look only and is not functional armor.
Pieces sell for 295 Turbine Points each or 1,295 Turbine Points for a full set (6 pieces) which ends up to be around a 27% discount. There is a set available for each class but you don’t have to stick to your specific class when purchasing.
I think it’s probably also good to note that you can earn this cosmetic gear in game by cashing in some marks and medallions at the cosmetics skirmish vendor.
See all photos of the gear set on the LOTRO announcement.

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: A good deal if you were curious in trying out the RK. If you have not yet purchased Moria, I would suggest buying the Moria expansion pack (not quest pack) or if possible find a retail box somewhere (< $25) instead. The expansion includes both the warden the rune-keeper and two character slots and is a better deal for the price than buying them all piecemeal like this.

Create one additional character on each game world! Ten character slots available!

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: More characters are more fun! A sale is a great time to pick up an additional slot and give a new class a try or pick one up for some cheaper extra storage! There are 10 character slots available to purchase in the store and it will be applied to all servers.
Slayer Deed Accelerators
Increase the size of your quest log, earn virtues, titles, and even Turbine Points by completing deeds! Earn double-rewards for slaying Goblins, Spiders, and more for 30-60 minutes! Single & 5-stacks available.
Store Location: Buffs & Boosts → Advancement → Deed
Levels: All

45-270
CSTM RECOMMENDATION: These are great ways to finish up deeds quicker and reduce the grind. If you’re like me and find the idea of killing 320 wargs to earn a virtue a chore than you will definitely like these little boosters.
40% off is a great deal on these as typically only see a 20-30% discount.
See Merric’s Store Explorer post on the Slayer Deed Accelerators.

The enhanced XP supply is perhaps the most useless item in the store. The amount of blue XP you get is hilariously tiny. Just get +20% 3h XP bonus or something instead. They work just as well for time limited players since they don’t disappear until the time is done no matter what and you are guaranteed to get more actual xp out of them, plus they cost almost the same as enhanced xp supply.

Gives me much hope that the Lorien sets will be available as cosmetics shortly after the release of Rohan.

Thank god the Slayer deed accelerators went on sale. I’ve started going back on my Mini and working on bringing up some Virtues and for ones like Zeal which require you to kill elites, this makes the experience much less painful.

about the Moria armor for sale: I prepared a short article about which of these items might be worth buying and which not (as some sets share appearance with crafted items). I also listed some outfits posted on my blog which feature these items. check it out on http://lotrofashion.blogspot.com/2012/08/ceremonial-moria-armour-in-store-worth.html
