Update 7.3 Release Notes

August 6, 2012

LOTRO News

Storm on the MethedrasUpdate 7.3 release notes from today’s update has been published to the Lorebook.

With this we have some updates to the current Festival which I will update in the guide as soon as I can. With this update you can now with the Ale Association and Inn League for Farmer’s Faire tokens and the Drunken Hobbits should now work as intended (you know – get drunk). It also sounds like with the change to the race tokens into tickets and tickets going into a barter wallet that the festival tickets may have been changed to a bind on acquire type item and no longer able to be traded. I will verify this later.

This update also included some small updates to lootboxes and the apparel dummies.

I can verfiy the bind-to-character ticket change.
    Two handy posts with screenshots:

And for users who’d stockpiled them in their shared storage or housing. You cannot split stacks to distribute them because of how inventory splitting functions.

I’m not happy they made the tickets Bind on Acquire. Still have 3 deeds to finish, the tier 2 for both egg scramble and mushroom hunts included. Just getting 3 chances a day when I was using the tickets from my alts will make it take a lot longer. Oh wells.

      Thanks Crell. :)
Not a fan of the change to Bound tickets, but at least now I won’t have to hold my breath while logging in.

Good on the drunken hobbit fix, but it looks like egg scamble will still be next to unwinnable, especially with 2 or more other players there.

DANGIT! i wish i had known they were going to make Lootbox jewelry “bind on equip”. I JUST vendored some unusable level 75 items a week ago. *facepalm*

Im glad of the changes to the tickets, after seeing that it enables more to do the egg/mushroom rather than a couple who happen to have a huge stack of tickets to burn every day, they just basically camped there. Now you do your three tickets and thats it.

They seem to have put in a timer too so you have to alternate the egg scramble, or at least it was in my case. I could do one round, then it was timed out for the next event, then was able to play the round after.

the timer was already there. You still have to watch out for those who stockpiled tickets until things die down a bit, like I did :)

After i got everey deed beside the goldnen egg (about 100 tickets burned – no egg seen), I only wait for special eggs to show up – I collect no white ones – so the timer was everytime ok for me..

I assumed after the delay to the festival it was all working fine.

After hanging around 30+mins waiting for a hobbit to get drunk walked away and not going to bother going back.

Surprised at the lootbox jewellery change, would have expected it to be an alteration to become bind on account rather than AH-able.

The Bounder’s Rounds is still a little buggy but far superior to what it was before. It still has a tendency to break every now and then for about 20-30 minutes or so but it does start up again.
