This week’s poll idea was sent in by Kazren! Kazren wants to know what you think you will be doing first when Rohan launches. It’s pretty unlikely we’ll be able to guess everything players plan to do first so feel free to leave a comment detailing what you are going to do.
When they open Rohan up, what's the first thing you'll do?

I think all the options above are great, and I would do them all! I chose Epic Quest because I can’t wait to advance in the story. RoR is looking to be a great expansion. 30 days can’t fly by soon enough.

I chose Epic Quest line because I’m hoping to get some cool rewards and see Boromir’s last stand.

Also, I’ve heard that the legendary horse shoe/saddle/mask/hat/tailwrap/blanket is granted during the epic quest line, so I’m aiming to get that before starting mounted combat to level the HI as much as possible.

Assuming there’s a new guild tier, use all my stored guild symbols to max it again.
August 5, 2012 at 11:27 am
Same here. All my crafters will be parked at a vault with their bags full o’ guild rep symbols.
August 6, 2012 at 12:09 pm
Ditto. Alt-Crafting FTW!
(I, as Dana Prime, will turn in 10 tasks quickly, THEN go to the craft guild.)
So exciting!
August 5, 2012 at 11:37 am
i will be trying out the pvp changes first i think
August 5, 2012 at 12:22 pm
I want the warhorse solely for the cosmetic possibilities! Who’s with me?
August 6, 2012 at 8:04 pm
Horse! Horse! Horse! : >
August 5, 2012 at 12:31 pm
The first thing I will do is get hit by the Lag Monster!
August 5, 2012 at 1:20 pm

I put in continuing the epic quest. I get chills when ever I run across something that I remember so vividly from the book. I am looking forward to visiting Amon Hen and seeing what Frodo saw. It always feels like I’m reading an appendicies of each chapter from the book. Well done Turbine.
PS, I’m also looking forward to mounted combat >:D

I chose epic story because it will probably take me to all those other choices more or less. will take a bunch of argonath screenshots too!
August 5, 2012 at 2:29 pm
Rush to do mounted combat!
August 5, 2012 at 3:50 pm
Other, same as always I head to check out Ettens changes first.
August 5, 2012 at 4:32 pm
Avoiding Rohan for first week.
August 5, 2012 at 5:47 pm
Not high enough level to do Rohan and probably won’t be there when it opens up.
August 5, 2012 at 5:55 pm
Epic Story, since that what will inevitably send me there.
August 5, 2012 at 6:26 pm
Rushing to mounted combat, mostly so I can make my pony pretty
August 5, 2012 at 6:29 pm
I chose “I won’t be doing much/anything with Rohan” but could also have chosen “Epic Quest line” because what little I’ll be doing will most likely be that until the expansion is put on sale for considerably less than the current pre-order’s lowest price (which is way too steep for me).

My first act will be to level up tier 8 crafting guilds. After that, it depends on how bad the lag is. Half of my active characters are still below 75, so I can work on them if the new zone is too crowded.
August 5, 2012 at 8:12 pm
My plan for rohan is to start the GR stuff a week or so before release so once the expansion goes live I’ll probably keep going with completing that and carrying on with the epic.
Should get some questing done without having to compete too much for spawns as is quite often the case in new expansions for mmo’s.
August 5, 2012 at 9:39 pm
First thing? Horse session play.
August 6, 2012 at 2:00 am
I will definetly be checking out the pvmp changes first, even though their wont be any fights going on for at least a week or two.
August 6, 2012 at 4:42 am
my “other” would be buying new jeweler and cooking recipes
August 6, 2012 at 6:50 am
Killing orcies? I mean, one can always kill orcies right?
August 6, 2012 at 9:01 am
Other (leave comment):
lvl up to 85 and run skirmishes like mad for new jewellery…

Rush to the forums to QQ about:
- they broke my favorite class(es)!
- Class x is OP and needs a nerf
- I burned through all the new content in 2.5 days
- LOTRO is one big grind
- The servers are so laaaaggyyyy
- No new instance cluster
- More lore-breaking
- Game is so buggy its unplayable
- I played for 2.5 days straight without sleep and now I’ve lost my job, my wife left me and I’m facing jail time for falling asleep at the wheel and causing an accident while out at 5am looking for fast food.
- The forums are full of whiners
August 6, 2012 at 5:18 pm
I’m still quite far from Rohan. But soon…
August 6, 2012 at 7:29 pm
Sadly, I highest character is only 60, so I imagine it will be months before I get through the great river and run out of content. Hopefully, RoR will be on sale before I need it!
August 6, 2012 at 7:30 pm
Warsteed all the way! Forth, Eorlingas!
(plus all of the above!)
August 6, 2012 at 10:55 pm
Had in all my guild craft items for tier 8. Get what ever the new guild recipes are available. Epic book with my cappy. He’s an explorer- divy up all the craft resources to my respective alts
August 8, 2012 at 12:24 pm
Visit my class trainer to see if I have any new skills available – then my crafting guild to see if there is a new level (and get any recipes I can) – then off to see about mounted combat, new areas and the epic story line!

I answered “I won’t be doing much/anything with Rohan” simply because my main is only as far as Lothlorien. I still have Mirkwood, Enedwaith, Dunland, Isengard, Great River etc to get through before I get there. I am savoring LOTRO like a bottle of Old Winyards 1296 (a very good year!) and have no desire to rush.
It doesn’t help that I’m still playing SWTOR a lot as well, but since I’m having fun. I’m not going to change the way I play.
