The following items are on sale from July 13-19th. Below you will find the sale listings as well as our recommendation on purchasing.

tomesQuest Packs

Explore the world of Middle-earth with LOTRO Quest Packs and adventure to iconic locations like Rivendell and Lothlórien. Experience the full breadth of in-game content, including region-specific quests, deeds, skirmishes and classic instances!
• All standard LOTRO Quest Packs are free for VIPs as part of the VIP membership
• Learn More about Becoming a VIP!
• All other players can use earned and purchased Turbine Points to acquire LOTRO Quest Packs in the LOTRO Store at any level
Grab a LOTRO Quest Pack from the LOTRO Store and continue the journey to defeat the endless evil that runs rampant through Middle-earth!

Store Location: Account → Quests & Content → Quest Packs
Levels: Varies
595-795
298-398

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: If you were looking to pick up a few zones you are missing, this is a great opportunity! Half off of content was reason enough for me to give this two thumbs up! Last time we’ve seen all quest packs on sale was late May but it was only a 30% off sale.

+20% Monster and Quest XP (3 hrs)

Get more for your monsters with a 20% bonus to experience earned from killing monsters and completing quests! This effect will last for 3 hours. Single and 5-stacks available.

Store Location: Buffs & Boosts → Advancement → XP
Levels: All
95-425
67-298

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: These items were added with Rise of Isengard and give the added bonus of not just monster kill experience bonus but a bonus to quest experience as well.

There’s no real reason to rush through LOTRO but if you are a bit stuck and could use a boost, this would be the item I’m more likely to recommend over the Enhanced XP Supply. 3 solid hours of +20% exp bonus to monsters and quests are probably going to net you more experience over just monster xp boost on your experience bar.

+5,000 Enhanced Reputation Supply

Gain a bonus to all earned faction reputation until a total of 5,000 bonus reputation has been added. This bonus does not have a time limit, and only expires when the 5,000 bonus reputation points have been depleted.

Store Location: Buffs & Boosts → Advancement → Reputation
Levels: All
225
113

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: These are one of those convenience items that gives you a shortcut without the grind. These get a meh simply because it’s not necessary. You can get through the normal in-game methods.

Read more about the Enhanced Reputation Supply item in Merric’s Store Explorer post!

Enhanced XP Supply

Increase your enhanced experience supply and battle on! Enhanced XP Supply is displayed as a blue section of your experience bar, and does not have a time-limit. Even stacks with other XP Boosts. Single and 10-stacks available.

Store Location: Buffs & Boosts → Advancement → XP
Levels: 7+
75-600
53-420

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: Talking with those who’ve used this, it’s sorta “meh”. It’s basically utilizing the stored or rested experience that VIPs get to give a blue bar on your experience bar of enhanced experience which just means a slight boost to mob kills.

VIP’s characters get this by simply not playing their character for a bit and it will build up, or they have the option to buy it with destiny points. This option is just to bring the same benefit to the free and premium friends and frankly, I think you are better suited spending your TP elsewhere. Nothing really wrong with it if you like them but think about it first.

This is probably preferred type of experience boost if you have limited playtime or experience a lot of interruptions. This isn’t time limited like the other boosters that give you a boost for a specified time. This will give you a boost for as long as that blue bar lasts, so you’re not rushed to get the most experience you can in a specific timeframe to get your TP worth of this bonus.

I think the Quest Pack sale deserves even 3 thumbs up! Since till now 50% sales on quest packs have been a one day only thing, like when earlier in the month they featured Forochel and Great River in the daily sales promo!

Finally I can pick up my last remaining quest pack – Angmar for the record.

So, I take it, they discontinued the free coupon codes?

The sales are available now. The date is Turbine’s date on Turbine’s announcements and I’m not going to deviate from the scheduled date just in case they ever decide to change that plan.

Short answer is you can’t. You already “own” the areas so you cannot purchase them.

I have heard of folks calling and terminating their VIP time early in order to take advantage of sales such as these but you would be forfeiting any VIP time left on the account, I believe.

Just a little nitpicking… The text says: “The following items are on sale from July 6-12th”, but the sale starts on 13th.

those enhanced rest xps…I’ve got at least 7 left over from the lotteries (think it’s 12h cooldown between uses), might use some to speed up the 2nd half of Moria (if I get there before the revamp)

last time when there was a 30% discount, mirkwood wasnt listed but was also 30% off so i checked ingame.

Mirkwood is also cheaper, its not 50% off this time but 25% so its 521 TP instead of 695TP. i guess its “just” 25% because the price got lowered from 995TP to 695TP not long ago.

Mirkwood isn’t on sale because it isn’t a Quest Pack but a expansion. The 25% off is because of the summer sales (and should have ended by now).

I have Great River, Evendim, Misty Mountains, Forochel, Angmar and Enedwaith and will soon buy MoM. Which additional Quest Pack is the most useful for me to buy?

I’m glad my VIP ran out yesterday! That means I can pick up Great River before resubscribing! I like owning everything even though I have VIP, you never know when you might not be able to keep up with VIP ;)

Is there any way to see what Quest Packs you already own. I’m pretty sure I have a couple of these already but I can’t tell. Thanks!
