Player Achievements for the Week

Player Achievements

Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week. We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:

  • Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
  • Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
  • Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!

These shout outs will appear in tomorrow’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern on Saturday!

First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.

Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

My runekeeper, Narthol, hit level 75, and she’s now decked out in some nice gear. That makes my second character to level cap. I’ve also healed a Draigoch run and a Roots t2 in my first week of end game healing – the first real healing I’ve done in the whole game. It been a big week :)

  2. Kazren Says:

Hi. My RK on Landroval, Fiorwyn, did her level 50 quest and with her kinship decimated the Gates of Carn Dum int the Book 7 quest. That was amazing with a group. It helped that 3 of the four of us were above level 70.

I’m looking forward to the Farmer’s Faire, thank you Goldenstar for your guide, I plan to read it first!

My Warden, Elryyk, on Landroval is more than half-way through Moria.

    Have a great week.

In preparation for Riders of Rohan, I cleaned out a bunch of inventory slots, re-keyed some of my quickbars for my new mouse and ventured out into the Great River area for the first time. I stumbled on some orcs and killed something in an MMO without using the Force for the first time since December, which, quite frankly, felt refreshing. Of course, after dispatching the orcs, I promptly hit the wrong button and blew one of my 10 minute cooldowns, so it is very apparent to me that I need to spend more time in Middle-Earth between now and September 5.

  4. Thurinphir Says:

my blackarrow (Shaaknur, rank 2) got his first non-gramsfoot map – Poor Tol Ascarnen

Thurinphifnirol Swiftfoot got almost all the way through lvl 66 and has nearly finished all the Lich Bluffs quests. also attended the Farmer’s Faire (when he didn’t feel like climbing the mountain, again)

    • Thurinphir Says:

      Crude* not poor
and my weaver was 1 quest away from CTA when I lagged out

Gilhildon (weaver) is 7000 infamy from rank 5
think Gilhildor (warg) was 3000/2000 away
Shaaknur (Black-arrow) probably won’t be used untill RoR is released (not enough traits and still does common damage)

Gilhildon has gained /taunt, /chicken and only has 1 CG to kill before becoming a “Favoured of Mordirith”. (Lie in Wait at an entrance then Web the Earth to prevent retreat ;) I love my spider (also, I discovered that one of the ‘best’ wardens on my server doesn’t know to move out of power-draining puddles left by dead hatchlings ;D ))

  5. Twitcheetwitch Says:

My burglar Thikeled is level 74, within half a level of hitting the cap, with NO combat defeats. Sadly, there’s an asterisk next to that record. I knew you couldn’t swim across the Anduin from Lothlorien to Mirkwood, however I didn’t know the water was instantly lethal right beside the riverbank in Northern Lorien. Got my first and only defeat from dipping my toes in the water in Gerlidor. Still, apart from something like that which I simply could not see coming I’ve managed to avoid defeat for my burglar, even while taking on orange enemies and orange quests from time to time. The only playing it safe that I did was to avoid raids and epic quest instances that would mean almost certain defeat.

  6. Saelyth Says:

I did my 14/24 OD champions ivar deed, now i’m 5 weeks closer to have the deed done.

I as well Leaded my first Saruman Pug Suceed here in riddermark. Leading a pug never was that hard :D

    • Saelyth Says:

To this add that i leaded my kin Saruman run 10/12 from my kinship Quest. Nice job to everyone, i had some 1st timers there and i did gave them a ring, everything worked out. only 1 wipe in phase 3.

  7. Gwathreth Says:

Thrandgar, my level 59 RK, finished Vol 2 boom 5 and finally will be leaving Moria! Ran the 3 epic book skirmishes with no trouble and managed to down a few encounters in the process.

  8. Limm Says:

On my RK Limmerien I finished rep with the Stangard folks so I finally got my third piece of the Empowered Anuin jewelry set, which is pretty exciting! Puts my Will over 1800 unbuffed, woohoo!

    -Limm of Gladden

  9. Saurio Says:

Finally finished Volume I! Planning to enjoy some some fun and sun back home at the faire before plunging into the dungy depths of Moria.

  10. Twitcheetwitch Says:

Made it. Level 75 with no combat defeats, so only the one river kill to mar my otherwise perfect record. Woo!

  11. Halfindil Says:

    Hey!
Ive been on vacation for a week and achieved not to play lotro.
    Greetings, Halfindil

    The Fallen Numenorean Says:

Hey Merric and Goldenstar this week my Rune-Keeper, Felost made it to level 75 and my Minstrel Featar made it to level 30 and completed his level 30 class quest.
~Felost Member of Band of Hope – Landorval

  13. Raven_Hargon Says:

My Burglar Raven_Hargon from Meneldor, fell down an area in the flaming depths and I was right next to a flaming pool of magma. Not to be put off by my predicament, I broke out fishing tackle and decided to see if there was fish in there. Lo and behold there were! So I decided to take a dip in the water…. Bad idea. :)

  14. Bogdan Epureanu Says:

I’m really proud with my achievement for this week.

I always listen to CSTM podcast while jogging… and well… this week it was the first time ever when I managed to listen to a full episode without loosing my breath and have to stop running before it is finished. :)

  15. rhandom Says:

    I got dragon scales. Yay

  16. Dethlor Says:

    Hi Goldenstar and Merric,

I’m a level 75 Hunter on Meneldor. This week, despite the demands of drunken Hobbits, I managed to complete Epic Volume III! Huzzah!! This feat makes Dethlor the first toon I’ve completed all the Epics with. Onward to Rohan!
