PC Gamer released a new article on Friday sharing their experiences with the Mounted Combat system that will be coming in the Riders of Rohan expansion.
The thing about LotRO’s mounted combat (unlocked at level 75) that impressed me immediately is that it’s the first time I can think of that riding a horse in an MMO actually feels like riding a horse. You build speed gradually from a dead stop, going from walk, to canter, to gallop. You can’t strafe side-to-side, nor can you turn on a dime, with your turn radius based on your current speed.
There isn’t much in the way of new information it’s a good article to read and another positive review of the Mounted Combat system. Plus if you’re like me then you’re itching to read anything you can about the upcoming expansion!

I’m really looking forward to the realistic horseback riding! Can’t wait to try it out, from what I’ve seen and heard it’s great.

I agree it’s nothing new to those who have been following all the RoR news. But the PC GAmer article is imo a very comprehensive overview and consolidation of RoR mounted combat news. If you haven’t read much yet, this is a great introduction.
