We have a new “Determine Your Discount” sale that is active until July 29, 2012. How this works depends on what you buy. The more you are buying, the bigger the discount you could receive.

You do not have to buy the items on sale to use these discount codes although sale items are included so you can stack up the savings. It totally depends on the total in your cart when your ready to check out.

There is a limit of 10 uses of these coupon codes per account. This is important to note if you wanted to buy a lot of character-only items for multiple characters are each character would have a separate transaction and would be using one of your code uses.

Spend At Least: Discount: Coupon Code:
1000 Turbine Points 10% SUMMER10
2000 Turbine Points 20% SUMMER20
3000 Turbine Points 30% SUMMER30

Shopping Scenarios

Here are some scenarios to help you understand how you can apply the codes to get your items at bigger discounts. Your mileage may vary based on what you already own but this can give you an idea at least!

Store Exclusive Horse Example

We know that store exclusive mounts will give us more cosmetic options for our steeds so if you were looking to get a new steed here’s a way to get it at a discount!

Add into your cart:

  • Steed of Night (or any class steed) – 1995 TP
  • 10% Run Speed Boost (60 min) 1 use – 9 TP

Total = 2,004 TP

Use 20% off discount code and pay 1,603 TP.

Moria Expansion Example

Mines of Moria expansion is on sale until tomorrow so you can get an even deeper discount by buying it with this sale!

Add into your cart:

  • Expansion: Mines of Moria – 1996 TP
  • 10% Run Speed Boost (60 min) 1 use – 9 TP

Total: 2,005 TP

Use 20% off discount code and pay 1,604 TP. If you had purchased these at full price the total would have been 2,504 TP! That’s a 36% discount!

Take a look at the LOTRO Store listing on LOTRO-Wiki to try to find that last item that will peak you over for the discount! Make sure you double check the cost before purchasing though. Remember Wiki’s are community updated.

The options are too numerous to display here. Find a good item combination to get in on this sale? Share it in the comments below!

Looking for advice here. I bought the warden and a character slot. Now I want to buy the On sale moria expansion and stack it with a discount. Is it worth it??? If you need clarification just comment. Also is the x-pack (on sale version) include the warden and rk?

It depends getting the expansion (+speed boost) and you get the quest pack, RK, 2 more character slots and Skirmish Trait max rank 15 for 1,604TP

Alternatively you can combine the quest pack with the discount and get just moria for 1,345TP.

If you want the skirmish trait increase as well its still cheaper to get quest pack + skirmish separately.

However if you are ever going to want more character slots (the 2 extra will stack with the one you bought) or the runekeeper, your much better off getting the expansion. I expect this is the cheapest you’ll see it for a long time.

Determine my discount? Really? I’ll take a SUMMER90. No fries with that.
A summer 30 might work with a store wide50% off sale, but the servers all crashed so I can’t buy anything. I was gonna spend hundreds but the moment has passed. I might spend $10 someday if they upgrade the servers.

Same with Shutz. Does anyone know what’s going on with the servers? Was this planned?

    things seem alright now.

bought a bunch of monsterplay stuff because it is never on sale, some crafting guilds and the premium wallet (so expensive). had to buy the monsterplay stuff last cos it deleted my items from the basket everytime i logged out :/

overall is not too bad, at 30% just over 3k TP of items for 2100TP?

So glad I found CSTM. Due to this post I was able to use Birthday TP points yesterday to get myself the Great River QP finally and a Skeleton Steed! I don’t normally like using TP for cosmetic things, but with the discount it was exactly as many TP as I had on hand, and the giver of the TP insisted I spoil myself a little. Hehe.
