Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week. We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:
- Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
- Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
- Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!
These shout outs will appear in tomorrow’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern on Saturday!
First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.
Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

Thrilnilmo, Master Cook (guardian of the Footsteps of Doom on Crickhollow) changed from Overpowered stance to blocking (for class deeds) and hit lvl 32!!!
Bought North Downs and solo’d the first Fornost wing (on my 75 minstrel at 30) then died 4 times in Earth wing
did some on Thurindos (38 Rune-Keeper of Riddermark), retraited to fire
bought Diablo 3, so I probably won’t preorder RoR (at all)

Now Mrweird has started questing in Limlight Gorge (was duoing with a random*) and traited to Healing (again). now I know to get some lvl 75 LIs and rep up with Stangard, also skirm for the LI points. know that if my (capped) kinmates are online, I can progress in Limlight Gorge and that 250 vitality is not-good (with 1000 Fate and 800 Will though!
thinking of doing a skirmish raid** and not doing any more GS runs
-Mrweird, Master Cook
*That hunter gave me so much good advice! and accepted that my gear and virtues were utter poop.
**hopefully for everthing but Tuck and Gondamon

I play on Meneldor, and my kinship is The Claws of Abigail.
This week I got my elf lore-master, Tarfeanor, to level 75, making him my third character to hit the level cap. I also finally took the time to learn about relic forging, so all three of my level 75 characters increased their morale and power due to trading up to better relics on their legendary weapons.
My hobbit burglar, Thikeled, has hit level 56 and is beginning to explore Lothlorien. He is one of two characters to remain undefeated so far, and my goal is to hit level 75 without suffering one defeat.

Sold my Diablo III account and returned to LotRO; with the money that I took on my account I bought RoR expansion and the 5,000 TP bundled offer.

I successfully tanked the first 3 wings of Orthanc on my Captain. I was very chuffed.

My lv 75 Captain, Ayaluilas, on the Laurelin server tanked the first 3 wings of Orthanc. She was very chuffed.

My burglar, Fletra on Vilya, reached level 71 this week and is enjoying Dunland. I purchased my 5th bag and the premium wallet with TPs and loving all the extra space.

Hallo to Goldenstar, Merric, Baby Hobbit and the rest of the CSTM gang!
This week I have two achievements I would like to share.
The first is I was that I hit level 75 on my Hobbit Hunter. What makes this special to me is that it was a slow going process since I actually took him back thru many of the lower level areas and such to complete old quests, deeds, reputation, skirmishes and the epic books I had missed or skipped. Even though the vast majority of the content was so far below my level it was still very enjoyable (not to mention it gives you that nice “let me lay waste to this entire camp of baddies without even breaking a sweat” power trip). Progressing along he eventually made his way into Enedwaith where he “dinged” while helping the Grey Company travel south and exposing plots most foul by Saruman against the Alraig.
Just a bit more questing for him (thru Dunland) and he will then retire to the Shire Homesteads until the rallying cries arise to aid the Riders of Rohan this fall. In the meantime he has earned a well deserved rest filled with slices of warm pie (mmmmm), hearty meals and endless pints of tasty beer with my two other level 75′s who had completed the same journey before him (my main character who is a Hobbit Minstrel and my Man Loremaster). Fortunately another hero shall arise from the ranks of my army of alts to begin this journey all over again.
My second achievement this week is that I attended my first in-game event in the five years I have been playing. It was the LOTRO Quest event on Thursday night (I participated both in-game and following along on the broadcast via Teamspeak). This was an absolutely spectacular event! I had so much fun!! I cannot recommend this enough to everyone out there (and thank you to CSTM for actually pointing me to this in an article earlier this week). Not only can you have fun with other players at an in-game event, but you also learn a lot of very interesting information about the lore of Middle Earth (and gain a new appreciation of just how much thought the devs put into this game with all the subtle nods to the lore hidden in plain sight throughout the game world).
I forget who said this at the end of the event but they said it was like taking one of those walking tours of a Civil War battlefield (only more casual and significantly more humorous). Those who hosted/ran the event were very friendly and knowledgeable about the lore and presented it to those of us attending in a fun and informative manner. This event is perfect for anyone with an appreciation of Tolkien’s works regardless of your level of knowledge and likes to hang out and be silly with other players in-game.

Fionnuala of Landroval played in her fourth year of Weatherstock and walked away with her third consecutive participation in a winning band. She’s looking forward to making those stats 4 out of 5 next year!

My Hunter, Ralgel, finally hit lvl 75 after almost a year of playing while questing in Dunland. I also recently joined a great kin, The Guild, on the Riddermark server.
Now I just need to get leveling my Champion and Runekeeper…

Gifted lvl55 hunter elf Imladris. My Lvl 64 (att) hunter friend, Elanorleaf, and I decided to ride to Isengard from Lorien just to see if we could do it without dying. Mission accomplished with screenshots! We knocked on Saruman’s front door, but he didn’t answer.

Nothing new this week… i guess i’m tired.

Hello Goldenstar and Merric!
Brerod, Elf Minstrel on Landroval, finally reached level 75, a journey several months longer than it took Frodo to return to the Shire. This is the first character I’ve ever had reach level cap since starting MMOs with EQ in 1999. Kudos to Turbine for making a great game, and to CSTM, for helping make the journey enjoyable.

Ellrion of Landroval; I FINALLY hit the level cap again! hurray! (i only have time to play for a couple hours here and there on the weekends. so 10 whole levels takes me a bit of time)… annnd just in time for another level cap raise. haha, ah well, it’s the journey, not the destination that matters.

Lennidhren (Lore-master and officer of the Lonely Mountain Band on Landroval):
Lennidhren’s big achievement this week was throwing a party in Moria! On Friday night we held the first-ever Ales and Tales Extreme there, on the grand stairs leading down from the west into the Second Hall, and we had a blast! We’re going to do A&T Extreme once a month to make use of the higher-level zones that we avoid for the regular show on Mondays, so that all players regardless of level can attend on Mondays. But the zones that lower levels can’t safely reach have some amazing locations too, and we want to bring Ales and Tales to them. We succeeded in doing so this Friday, with Old Winyards boasting seven musicians and with a variety of folks sharing poems as well as songs. Harperella even came and performed some freestyle harp music and led group dances. My role as stage manager was to coordinate everything…and take lots of screenshots for the social media…and MC the show. (Happily accepting volunteers for stage crew to take over some of those jobs!) Now an EXTREME show like this calls for an extreme ending, so after it was all over I charged off into the Second Hall and leapt off the Bridge of Khazad-Dum! Amazingly, most of Old Winyards and a few other ATE guests as well followed me right off the bridge and into the rez circle. Hilarious and fun! I can’t wait for the July ATE!
