Player Achievements for the Week

Player Achievements

Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week. We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:

  • Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
  • Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
  • Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!

These shout outs will appear in tomorrow’s recording of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern on Saturday!

First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.

Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

This week I levelled my captain up to lvl45, completed books 6 and 7 and the prologue of volume 2. Also my lore-master discovered, that she missed out on a quest where you were to escort little animals in the lonelands back to radagast’s tower. A guy from the kinship sent her the scrolls of dog, cat and rabbit and she could not use them because of the missing perk. So she went off to radagast and indeed he held a quest for her. She had to escort a bird and a turtle from haragmar to radagast. This might be a bit tricky to acomplish in the given time of 4 minutes at the designated level, but as soon as you’re able to ride it’s just a piece of cake. So now she got three little companions, a rabbit, a dog, a cat and since yesterday’s urugarth-run also a frog. How cute is that!

Keep up the excellent work, guys!

I was very lucky this week. Bought the steam-starter pack on the last day, when a kinmate tried to do the same the next day it was gone… He wanted to buy it for his sister as a present, since she accidently bought him 3 extra months of VIP. Perhaps there’ll be another nice sale soon, show some love for Lucolas and Mowgli :)

With the steampack i’m now short only Forochel and the Great River QP’s. Never thought I’d have nearly every bit of content (minus skirmishes) when I started this game, quite an achievement :)

Damper, champion of Anduin hit 64 and tried some quests in Dunland. He wants to finish up in Moria so he can venture into Lorien and Dunland without the feeling of unfinished business. He also managed to get his westfold-weaponsmithing up to critlevel and is now able to craft the nicest and deadliest blades and axes.

Loving the podcast, keep it up!

    Greets and salutations,
    Damper of Anduin
officer of the Dutch Dunedain Associaton
(p.s. Our kin will hit rank 7 this saturday, time to get us a kinhouse!)

I came back to the game this week after a few months break and have been listening to your podcasts to get caught up on what has happened with the game while I was gone. I am continuing to level up my burglar (she is currently level 66), working on the epic quests, and grinding out TPs. Trying to decide between purchasing the 5th bag slot or the premium wallet which has been a hard decision so far.

My main, Adanorod, a level 75 Warden, finally hit Kindred with the LLG faction and got his first two empowered Anduin pieces. He also attended a run of the Shadow Wing in Orthanc for the first time :D . Next week I will hopefully be able to go on my first Saruman run (lovingling called the Old Geezer Demolition Society by my kin).

My alt, Lorespark (a Loremaster of course), hit level 56, and made himself a Tundra Cub amulet (whatever they are called) it is very cute!

Picked LOTRO back up after five months of inactivity. :) Decided to start fresh on a new server. Made sure to check here periodically just to see what was going on. Pretty excited for RoR, probably going to get the Legendary edition. :D

This week I accomplished emptying my wallet by purchasing both the Steam Starter Pack and the Riders of Rohan Legendary Edition, which now seems to indicate that I also bought 2000 TP and an Instance hub at some point. I’m such a smart shopper, I don’t even KNOW what I buy when I buy it.

Oh… and I have a handsome new Rohirrim Captain in Rohirrim Armor on a Rohirrim horsie with Rohirrim barding. He likes to stand around Archet looking… well, Rohirrish.

Played for the first time in a week or so on Wednesday. Remembered why I took a break. Ever since RoI the latency on dial-up, whether it is from Turbine or from my ISP, has increased making it somewhat difficult to do anything in a group – even three-man instances. Plus the occasional latency spike for no apparent reason makes some solo work difficult as well.
That said – Alexahil, 75 Champ of Nimrodel, joined two of his kinnies from the Shirriffs of Cydonia in a pair of quick three-man runs on Dark Delvings and 16th Hall. Completed challenge mode on both, even though DD took us a few tries on the boss to finish. Launching into the air and damage reflects are painful no matter what level you are.
Heydrich, 17 Warden also of Nimrodel, has almost finished aiding his fellow Hobbits in the Shire and matters have occurred that may lead him to leave the bounds thereof.

Greetings from Koffey on the Elendilmir with Kindred Pathfinders and friends Order of the Ancients. Koffey is 75 now, a Warden, so haivng lots of fun doing instances and skirmishes and not so much fun grinding deeds to elevate her Virtues. So far not a single Starlight Crystal and she’s wondering if they’re a myth.

Got the Steam horse, only thanks to Merric & Goldenstar explaining to me how Steam downloads even get started. Thank you!!!!

Gandast the LM is still doing his weekly runs with the Kindred, and we’re in Evendim now.

Have a wonderful week in Middle Earth.

Hi, Goldenstar and Merric. I’m ulianne from the Crickhollow server (that’s just Julianne without the J because julianne’s always taken). I signed onto the spring festival for only the last day just to try to get enough leaves for the Simblehblehbleh horse. I tried the flower collecting thing for the first time and spent the whole hour, twenty minutes in each location, collecting flowers resulting in about 120 of each. Such thrilling work. I went back to turn them in and on my third gift box, I got the steed of the jester! (Sorry, Goldenstar, if you didn’t get it). I love jingling through dangerous areas now like it ain’t no thang. I think I’m going to start posing majestically on cliffs for the screenshots I ASSUME someone must be taking of me.

This week was a lot of fun for my Warden. Finally hit level 64 last night and I’m half way to 65. UP next is the stretch to 75 and the start of some 3 man raiding with my Kin. Went back and cleaned up some old quests and started in Mirkwood.

Quailenden (minstrel, no kin, Landroval) attended 10 minutes of Weatherstock (before I changed my graphics setting back to Ultra High for a screenshot (crashed XD))

Thurinphifnirol Swiftfoot, Ridge-Racer (Lore-Master of Riddermark) hit 62 and finished most of the Mirkwood epic, he’s gathering the rangers before returning to the dungeons of Dol Guldor

got a character slot and made Quenyal (suprised it let me), an elf minstrel on Riddermark (to assist the new friends who are joining LOTRO)

I made a Landroval Rabbitses (I’m normally on Windfola) and made the brave run to Weatherstock! I was assisted by the Lonely Mountain Band. Those guys are awesome. Anyways, my whole point was to get there, find Goldenstar or Merric, and cheer before I lagged out. I was not successful. But I tried. Thank you guys for the live coverage!
