The announcement trailer for LEGO Lord of the Rings has been released and it brings humor and drama to the Moria scene.
Epicly hilarious right?
I would like to point out how comically oversized the ring is which hopefully they will point out in the jokes the franchise is known for.
You might have also noticed that the trailer shows something that has never been done before in a LEGO game. The game takes audio lines strait from the movie and adds it into their story as mentioned in the this interview from GameTrailers.com. Since they are partnered with Warner Brothers they should have full rights to the films and lore.
Also confirmed from the interview you will be able to take control of anyone in the fellowship at any time. The is likely the largest amount of LEGO characters playable at once in any LEGO game.
Do you play LEGO games? Did you like the trailer? Do you want to see more?
Leave the answers to these along with anything else you might want to talk about in the comments below.

Ooh, shiny! I’ve quite enjoyed the previous LEGO games, and I’ll probably buy this. I laughed when I saw the ring, really looking forward to the game.

Haven’t played LEGO games myself, but my little brother likes them a lot.
He’s just getting into the Lord of the Rings (through the movies) and is reading The Hobbit, so he’s really looking forward to this game. From what I’ve seen so far I might be tempted to give it a go myself!

I’ve been waiting for this one, strangely enough the LEGO series are probably my favorite line of video games, just love the addictive gameplay. The only problem I see with this one is the use of actual voice acting instead of the usual grunts and jibberish of the previous games.

I wish the second Harry Potter game was delayed long enough to include the final movie in it.

I picked up Gandalf’s cart as soon as it was released and it’s awesome with the little fireqorks and stuffs. Free numbered limited-edition poster was great too!
However, having voice-acting in a LEGO Xbox game just ruins the game for me

That’s why it’s Lego-las
The sets are insanely brilliant and looks great when you start adding them together. Helms Deep is modular and you can buy wall sections to expand it both out and up!

Currently enjoying the hp lego games on my ipad. Loved the starwars ones they did. Follow the general plot of the movie but not so close as to take the charm of the lego out of the game. The devs always seem to understand both the story they’re working from and the character of the plastic blocks to blend them together so well producing games that are wonderfully silly and fun. It’ll be a sad day when TT stop doing them.
Not convinced that lipsynching with the movies is a good move though. One of the best things was that everything was done by facial expression or body language. Half expected gandalf to produce a children crossing type lollipop at the bridge.
