The wonderful folks at Skype have given us three wireless headset/video packs to giveaway to the CSTM audience!
We are huge fans of Skype!
We use it for personal usages like calling to video chat with Baby Hobbit’s grandparents. Allowing her to see and interact with our family members in Texas we don’t get to see in person often is wonderful.
Find out more about Skype’s video chat feature on their home page!
We also use it frequently for our podcasting. Any guest you’ve ever heard on the CSTM podcast (and the one time Goldenstar was remote) was all plugged into the audio stream using Skype. You can see in Merric’s “How We Podcast” post, we have a laptop dedicated to bringing in Skype calls.
The Giveaway
The prize pack we have is a great one, too. We have three FREETALK Everyman Pro Pack. This pack includes:
- FREETALK® Everyman Wireless Headset.
- FREETALK® Everyman Webcam.
Easy to set up and start using right away this is a fantastic package for new or seasoned Skype users.
This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada. Contest ends on June 1, 2012.
How to Enter
We are using a rafflecopter widget to track our entries to this contest. You must follow the instructions in the widget and click the “DO IT” and enter to submit your entry. There are four ways you can enter to win and you can do all four of them to increase your chances of winning.
None of the entry methods are required so if for instance you don’t use twitter or facebook, you do not have to sign up in order to participate.

Thanks M/GS/BH! Love the podcast. Skype is one of the ways our family keeps in touch through videochat. Good stuff.
May 21, 2012 at 10:12 am
Skype’s also Leveling Azeroth’s remote recording thing of choice. (Leveling Azeroth’s a podcast a couple of friends of mine do)

We use Skype to keep in touch with the family across the Big Pond. The little one loves it.
I used to use it to take call-ins during my show when I was a DJ.
May 21, 2012 at 10:20 am
Skype is great. I use it to talk to my sister who is teaching in Guatemala.
May 21, 2012 at 10:22 am
No thanks, the skype software is awful. I’d rather use smoke signals.
May 21, 2012 at 10:26 am
Use Skype all the time. I love it.
May 21, 2012 at 10:29 am

May 21, 2012 at 11:28 am
I have never used skype because I had never heard of it till now.
May 21, 2012 at 11:34 am
Good luck to everyone!
May 21, 2012 at 11:35 am
I use Skype for video chatting with friends and family!
May 21, 2012 at 11:48 am
I had to put other because you didn’t have a “most of the above” option! I like the titles, the horses, the satisfaction of having clean deed logs and those TP come in handy some times.
I am an outlier probably. I’d rather just do deeds than quest. Was really bummed when they took away the XP from deeds, especially the exploration deeds.
May 21, 2012 at 11:51 am
I have used Skype while running instances with kinmates.
May 21, 2012 at 12:07 pm
I love CSTM’s contests!! I would love to be able to use Skype while playing LOTRO
May 21, 2012 at 12:12 pm
i really must check out skype … these smoke signals are putting too much secondhand smoke in my cave …
May 21, 2012 at 12:39 pm
Thanks CSTM, great contest.
May 21, 2012 at 1:42 pm
I would really like to yell at other lotro players when i play lotro .
May 21, 2012 at 3:15 pm
I wouldn’t mind some free gifts
my webcam and headphones are average at best, so this would be great
May 21, 2012 at 4:25 pm
I use Skype to keep in touch with my wife and daughter while away on business.
May 21, 2012 at 5:03 pm
I used Skype to keep in contact when my girlfriend (now wife) was away for grad school. And I’ll use Skype again if I need to in the future for facilitating contact between kids and grandparents.
May 21, 2012 at 5:39 pm
Haven’t actually used Skype but has possibility to keep in touch w/ my sister who is constantly running around all over the place.
May 21, 2012 at 5:55 pm
I just used Skype today, in fact, to wish my mother a happy birthday! I also keep in touch with my son and grandson this way. Love Skype!
May 21, 2012 at 6:14 pm
I use Skype to connect with family members who live far away. I frequently video chat with my sister in Hawaii, and even got to talk to my brother when he was in A-stan. My in-laws just started using it, too, so they get to see the grandkids. Skype is great! Only problem is I have to use my old sloooow lappy because it has a built in camera and my desktop doesn’t have a camera yet. So…
May 21, 2012 at 6:35 pm
I don’t use skype (yet) but hey, a new headset is always needed
May 21, 2012 at 6:51 pm
I use skype to talk to my brother whos stationed in korea
May 21, 2012 at 6:54 pm
I use Skype to keep in touch with the kids.
May 21, 2012 at 7:33 pm
I do not really use Skype much since I live near to most of my family and I talk to my brother using the in-game Lotro Chat. However, I think it is a wonderful tool that allows people to keep in touch in a whole new way.
May 21, 2012 at 8:46 pm
Use it a lot for work related things, this would be nice
May 21, 2012 at 8:56 pm
I use Skype for online tabletop gaming – we use an online diceroller and use Skype audio
and yes, I should talk with my folks, but they don’t Skype!
May 21, 2012 at 10:38 pm
I use Skype to talk to friends.
May 21, 2012 at 10:40 pm
Skype is still our standard for video chat when either my wife or I go away for work, or if we need talk to relatives overseas.
Im still trying to teach my mum to use it to talk to her sisters instead of spending hours on long distance landline calls that cost a fortune.
May 22, 2012 at 1:13 am
Skype works great for when the girlfriend has to be away for a couple of weeks and we want to stay in touch with each other. Phone calls are great, but being able to see the other person is even better
May 22, 2012 at 6:11 am
I use skype to keep up with my kids and granddaughter. They all live in Canada, I’m in the southern US. Love Skype!
May 22, 2012 at 8:21 am
I have used Skype extensively for voice chat, from weekly ‘meetings over coffee’ with my family or for international calls to loved ones. It awesome. Recent upgrades introduced things like a splash screen for upgrades which you can ignore and still use their product for free.
May 22, 2012 at 9:11 am
Skype is fantastic. Use it to keep up with friends from college.
May 22, 2012 at 9:36 am
I use Skype for voice chat when we group in LOTRO
May 22, 2012 at 10:21 am
My kinmates and I use Skype to talk to each other while playing LotRO.
I also quite like it to teach someone a new knitting or crochet technique when distance makes it impossible to meet up in person.
