LOTRO Store

Ardin was kind enough to send in a photo of the new Steed of the Champion to share with the CSTM audience. Ardin won the lottery with their burglar character.

As you can see, the horse is well equipped with implements of destruction well fitting the champion’s needs. Currently this steed can only be earned via lotteries but it will be coming to the LOTRO Store soon for purchase. We’ll keep you posted when this steed becomes available.

Thank you for sharing Ardin!

    Nice, very cool. Congrats!

I was only able to enter the latest lottery for this with my Champ. Glad I kept him around :)

I was thinking the very same thing! My champion has that horse and the Steed of Night, the latter being the main one she rides all the time. I’ll try to get this horse via the lottery only. If that doesn’t work I’m going to work towards the black Mirkwood horse.

The Champion horse should look big, black and fierce in my opinion. This one looks sort of tame.

Very nice! Other than the nod to dual-wielding, this could really be nice for any of the heavy classes. Note the lack of what some people were calling “horse pasties” on the Steed of the Guardian — that one had decorative brace-like wraps on the foreleg, just under the shoulder, that would have needed glue to stay in place! Could the devs be listening to feedback?

I have to say, I’m missing the prominent class symbol displayed on the hunter, guardian and runekeeper steeds…

I knew this was going to happen I was hoping for it to be awesome 100 more awesome like Mad said. I mean look at the RK steed that was very well done this looks like a 10 min job to be honest oh well I hope the captains mount works out.

My main is a champ, and I’ve been chomping at the bit (ha ha) for this horse since they started making class-based steeds. Not exactly all that I was hoping for…it looks a lot like they took the Prized Ashen Horse and slapped some accessories on it. However, I am far from disappointed. Hoping for the lottery win, but somehow completely comfortable spending the TP to make this one happen.

My main is a champ as well, and honestly this is not very impressive. A couple skinny swords and a dagger, with some brown plate armor? Oh, well. I found a Steed of the Dusk-Watch last night in Bree, I’m happy with that.

Its a meh for me. I’ve been playing Champ as my main since way back in SoA and for as nice as it is in terms of armor on the horse it just feels…lacking. There should be more to this horse and instead it looks kinda slapdash.

Yeah, I can see that. I think further armoring it would have been really cool. I kind of expected the colors to match the Champion icon too, but that’s another story.

I don’t like it that much.. the best horses in the game were player designed.. (in my opinion) the orginal cremillo steed looked awesome then turbine killed it by editing to duller colors to make it look like an old nag. Nope no tp from me for this ‘WAR’horse. They need to hire someone with more creativity.. Lets blame WB
