CSTM RECOMMENDATION: These get a “meh” simply because you can earn these in the game grinding them via the deed system. A nice short-cut to a long grind but not a necessary purchase. If grinding is the thing that gets on your nerves then no harm in buying them at all.
Trait Slots
Customize and make your character more powerful by unlocking additional Virtue, Class, Race or Legendary Trait Slots to use with your virtues, traits, and legendary abilities.

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: First it’s important to note that this is only for free and premium players. VIPs have access to all their virtue, class, race and legendary trait slots, however they unlock at specific levels so it may not look like they are not available.
These may not be an important buy at the earlier levels but those nearing end game will want to consider buying these. They are like equipping additional stats that otherwise you’ll be missing out on. I’ll make a guess and say they may start coming in pretty handy around the level 40+ range.

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: These are great ways to finish up deeds quicker and reduce the grind. If you’re like me and find the idea of killing 320 wargs to earn a virtue a chore than you will definitely like these little boosters.

I can’t see the Free Sample item in the store. I’m guessing you have to be of appropriate level for using it to see it? I was going to bank the sample until I could use it later on.

I just had a quick poke around then. I found the scroll in Goods and Services > Legendary Items > Legendary Service. My level 50 can see the scroll, my level 20 cannot. I would guess the cut-of point would probably be level 45, the min level for the legendary item system, but I can’t be sure.

I did a search of, “Scroll of Combination,” and it came up for my L75. It is probably gated as apocolyse600 says above.

A search for combination found it on a 50 but not a 43. The 43 was sent to the lossoth costume instead.
Would be easier if they added a button for the free sample but I suspect it’s require a bit of work as unlike other once per account things like skirmishes it would require a bit more attention to keep right.
