Scheduled Server Downtime: Wednesday, March 21st

March 20, 2012

LOTRO News

The LOTRO Game Servers will be brought down on Wednesday, March 21th from 6:00 – 10:00 AM Eastern (-4 GMT) for an update to the game. Patch notes will be available during the downtime.

We suspect this patch to address many of the Warden issues that have been discussed and possible some other items from the known issues list may be cleared up as well. We’ll share the patch notes when they are released tomorrow!

Cool. Might whip out my old 65 Warden and see how it goes. Thanks!

Wardens are really fun right now. However, there are many bugs that are not being fixed: conviction legacy reducing the healing, the shield gambit buff duration legacy not having any effect, DoTs doing common damage, and builders in assailment not increasing in range with the legacy, but the gambits do. Othert than that, the warden is awesome.

I hope at a minimum they just label stuff in Stangard. “I wonder what’s behind this door?” Oh look, I found the Forge Master and the Relic Master!” I’ve been doing that for a week.

They’ve been inconsistent with that for a long time now. I wish they’d just do it across the board… It’s still weird that the door in the Galtrev crafting building that leads to the section with the Crafting Guilds is not labeled in any sense, for example. I first found it on accident lol

I do wonder if they will ever fix the bug where my rune of restoration falls through the floor. Not the worse bug out there, but odd that it has not been fixed.

I am anticipating the fix in the Tower of Orthanc. On Saturday, my raid’s steamrolling was put to a sudden halt when we found out first-hand that the door to Orthanc mysteriously disappeared. Might it have been Saruman’s spell? I do not believe so. The real clincher came when a GM responded to my leader’s ticket- an hour later. The GM could not do anything, but we did not appreciate the hour long wait when we could have been corpse-jumping Draigoch.

I am sorry to inform you but GMs usually get more than just your ticket at any given time and then answer the ticket they have in a first come, first serve fashion; therefore, they are not your personal servants that are there to wait on you hand and foot because I guarantee there are more players with problems than GMs.

Wouldnt it be nice if a GM could do anything and Turbine put out a game that works.Draigoch is a joke with all the bugs it seems they rush stuff out and nerf everything.Turbine is becomming a joke.

I hope they fix the stablemaster problem… I’m on a ride to somewhere and either my horse stops, I must dismount und walk back/ride to this location OR my horse makes a U-turn and ride back :D

HA! I had the same thing happen to my goat taxis in moria. They’d just stop. One looked like it got stuck and kept running but we didn’t move and I finally had to dismount.

At first I thought it was only linked to alt-tabbing but been getting this happen when opening ingame windows like tradeskills or the map.

Couple of times the horse has just stopped on the path and ridden round in circles, almost like it does when coping with hairpin bends but not stopping.
