Travel maps are one time use consumables and there are plenty of locations available in the store to choose from. Some are level related (such as you can’t buy map to Mirkwood unless you are level 61+. However take a look and pick one you’d use and pick it up for free with coupon code SCY451.

Weekly Sale

tomesQuest Packs

  • Angmar
  • Enedwaith
  • Eregion
  • Evendim
  • Forochel
  • Misty Mountains
  • North Downs
  • Trollshaws
  • Lothlorien

Store Location: Account → Quests & Content → Quest Packs
Levels: Varies
595-795
476-636

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: If you were looking to pick up a few zones you are missing, this is a great opportunity!

Riding Skill

The skill enables you to ride any permanent mount that your character has purchased or earned. Riding a permanent mount allows a character to travel up to 68% faster than going on foot. The skill is auto-applied upon purchase and can be reviewed in your character’s skill panel.

Store Location: Travel & Housing → Maps & Skills → Travel Skills
Levels: 5+
95
76

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: Riding skill is a store only purchase for our free or premium friends. VIPs have the option to earn the riding skill via a quest but they must wait until level 20 while this can be purchased at level 5 and it is pretty darn cheap.

Mount Speed Boosts

Increase the speed of your mount by 20% for 60 minutes! Single & 5-Stacks available.

Store Location: Travel & Housing → Movement Buffs
Levels: 5+
50-225
40-180

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: I’m not really certain why I would purchase this. Best scenario I came up with is you plan to go out and gather wood/metal for an hour and you want to race around a bit faster. Is that worth real life money? I guess that’s really for you to decide but as far as I’m concerned, no.

Hurried Traveller

Reduce the recovery time (cool-downs) on Milestone Skills by 30 minutes to use instant-travel more often! Works across all Milestone skills! This is a permanent unlock for your character.

Store Location: Travel & Housing → Travel Traits
Levels: All
495
396

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: I believe this may be the first time this item has been on sale. It gets a meh only because it depends on your play style (how much you use milestones or if you’re a hunter/warden) how useful this is. The only bummer for this item is that is it only per character so make sure you buy it on the character you want to have this skill!

Unfortunately it won’t appear in the store for him as VIP as with the subscription he “owns” those zones.

Someone told me once that you can call Turbine customer support and have your VIP suspended for a couple days, then reactivated…check it out…

Didn’t happen for me: contacted customer support and just got a “sorry, but we do not have a way to work around this problem at this time” reply. Was worth a try, I guess. :)

Some of the oneshot maps may well also be locked by a quest.

East angmar ones from lottery cant be used until you’ve done the epic book part for the watcher stones. Not bought store maps but would guess its the same thing.

Questpacks seem to be up more often in the sales. I remember it took months for me to see enedwaith come around.

The mount speed boost helps me outrun the wargies looking to pounce me in the moors. I honestly do think it’s just a tad bit too fast for them to get their dismount and daze skill off when you’re riding with it. Either that or they don’t bother chasing me and go for a slower target :) My squishy huntard loves it either way!
