I honestly cannot recall if these have ever been on sale previously. These do exactly what they say and allow you to reset the points put into your Legendary Items so you can change what you put your points into. I’ve never had a reason to reset my Legendary’s personally but I know it’s probably primarily due to being a LI dummy. Plus they seem to give an LI reset with nearly every update these days.

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: I love my shared storage and I’ll tell you why. Because sending my tailor, jeweler, or scholar materials that my alts collect one item at a time via the mail system is stupid boring and annoying to me. Shared storage is a convenient place all your characters on the server can access. Now I just dump all the mats in there for the crafter to come pick up later. Or use it to store some of my wardrobe overflow so all my characters can still dress up.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The amount of available storage was increased with Update 5. This sale appears to include the new tier 9 (15 additional slots) for your vault. Previous sales had been excluding tier 9. This is the first time we’ve seen it on sale.

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: More space is always a good thing. You’ll always find something that you’ll want to keep. I will note that while you can buy all the vault upgrades in the store, only upgrades 7 – 9 are store exclusive. All other vault upgrades can be purchased in game with in-game currency. I would recommend spending your pretend gold before dishing out your real life moolah.

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: I personally have no idea how anyone could survive with only three bags. I suppose that just says I keep too much junk. If you’re like me, I say buy this. Buy it now and you’ll be happier. It is an account wide purchase although you do have to buy each of the two additional bags separately and all your characters on every server will have all five bag slots open to them.

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: The currency cap can be annoying and this definitely is a worthwhile purchase. Bonus that it is an account wide purchase. It is free for VIP and if you downgrade from VIP to Premium to get to keep the unlimited gold cap, however it is only for characters you created while VIP. I think if you don’t plan on VIP for any length of time, this is a worthwhile purchase.

If you couple this week’s sales with the double point bonus, it’s the best time to buy points and use them. Shared Storage is an absolute MUST if you have even just TWO players on the same server. Vault storage is helpful, but not necessary (especially if you have multiple characters) – unless you’re at the highest level and trying to keep multiple gear sets. If you’re F2P, the inventory bags and currency cap are definitely worthwhile. Purchasing those is certainly unnecessary if you plan on going VIP, but I think it’s worth it. No matter what happens for the rest of the time LotRO is in existence, you’d be able to use all the bags and all your currency space without having to worry about creating a new character and losing the benefits from stepping down from VIP. The one thing about this sale that confuses me is the LI replacement scroll. I’ve got stacks and stacks and stacks and STACKS of scrolls from LI deconstruction that allow me to do the same thing and it’s VERY rare that I’d consider using one.

I love my shared storage. Initially purchased for shuffling mats between alts I’ve found the fact you can transfer account bound items to be extremely useful. Especially for lottery winnings, or stacks of account bound consumables.

Its interesting that the Tier 9 is included in the sale now. The last time they did that was just before they brought out a new Tier. Maybe Tier 10 and 11 will soon be brought out.
My shared and vault starage is all maxed out so I hope so.

Last time they also pulled the increase shortly after adding it and removed any mention of it on the page about storage increases. I checked last week wether they had tier 9 but nothing so they must have added it today or sometime this week.

Woooo shared storage!
I can’t understand how people could get by with only three bags either, especially at higher levels. Potions take up a bag on their own, then there’s the LIs you need to keep in your bags. Add in crafting mats, hope tokens, food and a musical instrument, and you’re full.
The addition of the barter wallet that holds all the skirmish marks and anniversary tokens was great. Now they need to expand its function so it holds ALL BoA tokens/medallions/seals (Lorien Leaves, Malledhrim stars, Tokens of the Wilds, festival tokens, etc).

Why won’t it let me post all of a sudden? That’s three times now. I fill in both the captchas and everything and it says I’ve posted, but there’s nothing. Then I try and post again and it tells me I’m repeating myself!
