Player Achievements for the Week

Player Achievements

Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week. We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:

  • Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and, if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
  • Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
  • Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out the Tower of Orthanc. We want to hear from you!

These shout outs will appear in Episode 125 of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern on Saturday! First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.

Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

Merrydew, lvl 75 Hunter, had a blast with the Landroval Repertory Theater presentation this week for the first time!!! ((for those who don’t know that is an rp raiding group))

I have really missed good organized raiding since I left the old server and I usually work Thursday nights but Merry was able to go in last night and I am happy.

This week my achievement, or rather Turbine’s, is I’ve finally been driven mad by the voice clip; “YOU SHALL BE WREATHED IN THE FLAME”

    Seriously. It drives me crazy.

In other achievements, I completed my first wing of orthanc, a rather deadly affair, but we got it done!

Maibhen Broadbelt, level 49 Guardian of Landroval is just about ready to start her exploration of Moria! (It’s a first for me, too! Exciting). This week she also managed to become Kindred with those uppity Hobbits at the Mathom House.

Our kinship, House of the Curling Rock, reached rank 10 and celebrated its first anniversary this week. A small kinship of real-world friends and their kids, we’re currently running instances in Moria and running Vol II of the Epic book as we enjoy the first rays of Lorien sunlight.

    Hallo CSTM!

Elethahil, 45 Champion of Landroval: Hit 45, and ran the quests to get his LI this week. The champion has certainly improved since the last time I ran that set of quests as there was little difficulty in dealing with the half-orcs, including the signature leader, even with them 5 levels higher than I am. Additionally, he ran into the Dums on Monday night as they were exploring Forochel. He waved hello and wished them well!

Elildor, hunter of Evenstar on Vilya, ventured through the unknown depths of Moria past the 21st hall and out the eastern side, finally to gaze into the Mirrormere. There getting level 60, he is teaching the orcs to know and fear his new weapons: Narbrant, Bow of Flame, from 2nd age Numenor; and Glamrist, Foe-cleaver, a sword made in the 1st age in Gondolin.

My Kinship: Mercenaries of Dol Amroth. Character: Saredor, Lore-master lvl 65, Eldar Server..This week I become Trout Master. I had alot of competition between me and a few elves in Rivendell. A lot of fishing just for a title but I really enjoyed the outdoors even though it was indoors at my home on my pc :)

  13. Bryar Says:

Bryar (Brandywine) – I’ve gotten all seven of my playing alts to at least level 51 while finishing their LI starting quests. I’m really enjoying Moria with Kilimur (Lvl 53 Champion) because it’s the first time that my scholar can run around and find scholar caches everywhere instead of the one or two at ruins elsewhere in Eriador.

  15. Kazren Says:

Tolkyyn, Guardian on Elendelmir was created 1/7/12 and is now level 56 and he made Kindred with the Elves of Rivendel this weekend anf finally finished Volume 1(with the help of Karime and Axol).

He’s learend that the 6-man Skirmishes at his level or higher give over 300 marks, so he likes them a lot now!.

He’s also working his way through Volume 2 and is in the 21st Hall in Moria enjoying all the slaying of evil creatures. He also found a use for all those bags of rusted Dwarven tools and got some pretty good weapons from the trader there. Now he’s looking forward to those Kahzad-Dum tablets.

He’s still looking for recruits for the Kinship he’s in, the Vanishing of the Ring, which specializes in members helping members.

    Hiya Merric ‘n Goldenstar!

    Figro Flaxenfoot
    Hobbit guardian of Landroval
Member of the Lonely Mountain Band

Two first-ever experiences last week: 1) Traversed Moria and exited the First Hall to behold the stars in Mirromere, 2) then marched forthwith to the gates of Lorien and got shot to bits by the Galadhrim ./fistpump

On a craftier note, dinged level 55 and FINALLY got to use my blue, critted multi-Tools of the Armourer. Where have these been my whole life? Suppose I’ll hafta make good with those rather queer, trigger-happy elves and convince them to let me craft some of their armor. I hear its rather fetching. We’ll see.

    Thankee fer all ye do!

My acheivement of the week, other then prematurely hitting submit comment btton on the previous post, was to begin traversing the wilds of Dunland. Also, im at 67 3/4, so 68 should be coming very soon (a premature achievement, I know, but I’m going for it!). I also was absolutely entertained this week with the most ridiculous argument I’ve seen on GLFF in at least 2 days. It was highly entertaining (thanks Nahara for tipping me off to it!). Happy hunting all!

After trying endlessly to finish Draigoch (AND get a worn symbol) my Champion, Thinhith, finally was able to accomplish the dasterdly deed. Not only did I get the title, Thinhith the Red, but I was lucky enough to get a second worn symbol. Both are being used for Isilwren’s new bow and Thinhith’s new dagger.

Many thanks to our raid leader, Nuadda, who had the patience of a saint.
