Bullroarer was updated today with Update 5.2. This update is more of a “quality of life” update meaning that items are being added to the store, and some bug fixes are going into play. This also means that there is no content going into the game at this point; which will be reserved for Update 6. However, it’s still good to see some updates coming into fix bugs such as Creep mitigations. The full patch notes are as follows:
General
Lock boxes should now:
- Drop better items more often, including the mount, relic removal scrolls, legacy upgrade scrolls, LIXP and lock box only weapons
- Drop a lock box key ~10% of the time.
- Have a better chance to drop more than one item.
- No longer drop items from the previously lowest tiers.
Burglar
- Clever Retort and Confound will now function when a Burglar has the “Mischief gives an ICPR bonus” set bonus active.
Monster Play
- Alterations made to Creep mitigation formulas have been reverted to their original state. All Creep mitigations ratings and percentages have been returned to their original values.
UI
- Added a map to the Pit of Irons in the Heathfells
Deeds
- Fixed a condition where a deed that does not have rewards would sometimes tell you that it rewarded experience.
Emotes
- Added sound to the /toast emote.
LOTRO Store
- Corrected a number of tooltips, typos, and min levels on various store items.
- Various items currently available in game have been added to the LOTRO Store. Please share your feedback on these items in theBullroarer LOTRO Store Item Discussion Thread.

Wait, does this mean that keys drop more than before or less? Other than that it seems the value of the lockbox items have increased considering you can get mounts and unique weapons now.

Seems like a very good patch, shame they couldnt give us a PoH map earlier

I’ve never actually seen a Lootbox drop, much less a key, so I may be missing something, but now there’s a 10% chance that a box will have a key that you will need another key to open and obtain? Is that supposed to be a helpful thing?

Yeah… about the lockbox thing… I’m with you.

A map!!! That would mean I finally get to finish those quests there. I gave up cause I kept getting lost!

hey you

Based on my memory of how much time usually passes between their patches, this seems like it’ll soon… Seems like they’re sticking to their plan of smaller patches, more often. I like that.

What is the Toast emote? how to get it?

I think it’s on Test only at the moment.

Aw, could’ve used that map a couple of weeks ago when I was questing there….oh well.

Whilst the patch notes in themselves don’t seem very notable, the fact that we’re into BR for 5.2 only, what, two weeks and a bit since 5.1?
Not going to be overly confident, but this seems like a good sign to me.

The schedule seems to be monthly fixes, quarterly content, and annually expansions.

I think that’s a pretty accurate breakdown.

I’m curious if the “revert” in creep mitigations is to before they borked it at the start… or before they nerfed them again…
Everything else sounds good, though.
