New Yule Steed

January 17, 2012

Events

Shortly after posting about the new cosmetics, it was discovered there is also a new steed available!

Ketani was kind enough to collect enough tokens (after spending them all on the new cosmetics) to obtain the horse as well. She is modeling the mount with the new cosmetics on as they go nicely with the new horse.

The horse costs the typical 20 Tokens, 1 Race Token and Document of Mount Ownership. In your mount panel it will be listed as the “Yule Festival Snowy Horse/Pony”.

The Snowy Steed

I will update the Yule Festival guide with this new addition as well!

Very pretty, although I wish the horse itself were “snowy” in color!

Thank you Ketani & CSTM for getting snaps up so quickly.

Am I the only one who thinks these new cosmetics/steeds were supposed to be released next year, but were mistakenly made available this year because of a glitch in their patching system?

That was my fear, too. If it is the case, I’ll hope Turbine steps up their COMMUNICATION skills on this one rather than just *poof*ing the items from the vendor. :)

Turbine creating such things a year in advance? Really funny! XD They probably wanted to drag people away from SWTOR for few hours.

Thanks for the heads up! Thought I’d finished with the festival, but looks like I’ll have to go back.

Just picked mine up, seems by far the nicest of the ponies available this year. Thanks so much for posting about this!

Picked this up on both of my mount-gathering toons, thanks for the update! I never would have thought to look at the vendor again!

I wonder which steeds will be offered at Hengstacer farm next year. Will there be three or will either one of these two new steeds not be re-offered? Good thing the festival lasts until the end of January so I have time to get it on all my alts!

I kinda think they offered these mounts and clothes to keep people going to the festival which has had such a long run its been deserted for weeks. This will enable folks to continue working the theatre deeds and snowball fights which you couldnt due to lack of players.

I picked this one up as it had a rather Elven look to the tack. I do wish they’d incorporate different types of horses though. A nice Clydesdale or a Shetland. Shetland ponies would work wonderfully for Hobbits. The same horse over and over again just with different colors needs a revamp.

Couldnt agree more. Its laziness, why code a new template when you can rack up infinite number of colors and tack with the same model? At least with these new ones it wasnt just a color change only with even the same saddle like we saw in spring

Does anyone currently have this mount on live? Trying to track something down. I find it entirely impossible to believe that I picked up the cosmetics when they were added but NOT the mount, when I get all of the festival mounts on all of the characters =)

Ironically. Turns out that every character I had at the time EXCEPT for my main picked it up *sigh*.. One more thing to buy this year!
