New Yule Cosmetics Added

January 17, 2012

Events

Thank you to @LadyCrow on twitter for alerting us to a surprise bonus that arrived with today’s patch. Four new cosmetics have been added to festival vendors!

Ketani was nice enough to login to investigate for us and has shared pictures plus what the item looks like dyed red to show where the dye is applied. Thank you Ketani!

All are available for 12 Yule Festival Tokens each.

Snowy (Tunic) and Pants

The word tunic is missing from the actual item name but we’re fairly certain that’s just one of those typos the patch notes were referring to.

Snowy Hoodless Cloak

Brisk Yule Cloak

Snowy Dress

These items will be added to the Yule Festival Guide later this evening.

Also, the Snowy Steed is available from Hengstacer Farm (for the same price as the others). I believe this is the one that premiered in 2009, was the “old” horse in 2010, and, before Patch 5.1, was (and still is) available in the store for 1195 TP.

@SunGryphon on twitter shared a picture and it is not the same as the 2009 horse (this one has a hood). The 2009 horse was called a “Snow Steed” and this is apparently called a “Snowy Steed”.

I am unsure why they decided to have 2 horses for 2011 unless this is technically 2012 ;)

We can post pictures up when we get some which may not be until much later.

Ah, ok – thanks for the clarification. I wasn’t able to buy it with what I had, so just took a wild stab that it was the same thing. Cheers!

not too crazy about the new cosmetics, and think that the target indicator on the first is an odd choice.

Thanks for the headsup. I let my kin know, and will be working on getting the items this evening.

I went ahead (during my lunch hour) and did the non-Frostbluff quests to get the new steed. It’s my 46th one….the only ones I lack are the ones for the meta-deeds in Khazad-Dum, Dol Goldor, Ost Dunhoth, & Isengard, as well as any offered before the Summer Festival 2010.

The Brisk Yule would look fantastic dyed red with the Cremello steed!

Anyone got a piccy of the new horse?
