Six of the festival steeds can currently be found in the store for 50% off until January 31, 2012. Regular price at 1195 Turbine Points, you can catch these 62% speed 100 morale horses for 598 Turbine Points.
The majority of these horses are from previous years and either are already only store exclusives or most likely will be store exclusive if Turbine keeps with their current pattern of cycling older steeds into the store. If these are horses you missed and you really wanted, 50% off may be a great deal for you to pick one (or more) up.
From Fall Festival
2010 Sable Harvestmath Steed
From Summer Festival
2009 Lithe Festival Steed
From Spring Festival
2009 Springfest Steed
2010 Blue Roan Steed
Of all the horses on sale, this one should still be available to earn in game this spring. Keep this in mind when deciding if you want to pick this one up.

*timidly raises hand* According to both the store and LOTRO Steeds, the 2009 Lithe steed was from that year’s summer festival, not spring. /proofreader

This is nice for alts that I started up long after those festivals. The price seems about right for a festival horse. I will certainly pick one up!

the sable harvestmath is a gorgeous horse that matches very well with alot of costumes. I wonder why they are having such a big sale, they usually only offer one or two steeds from the past.

Any mount with 62% speed and 100 morale is a waste of points, sorry.

Waste of points or no, that buckskin Pale Summer Golden Steed is one of my favorites, and I missed him last year. For 598 TP I will correct that. Still an extravagance to be sure, but every now and then a girl deserves a treat.
