If you listen to our podcast, you know that I will be very pleased that slayer deed accelerators will be offered at such a great discount and will be forcing Merric to stock up and complete his deeds so I don’t have to hear about them any longer.
These scrolls make it so one of your slayer deed kills counts for two thus reducing the number of those monsters you need to find to complete the deed. The item is a scroll you activate and places a timed buff on you that expires. They come in 30 minute or 60 minute options.
The full price for the deed accelerators vary from 75 TP for a single 30-min scroll to 450 TP for a stack of five 60-min scrolls. With this sale the prices will drop to about 19 – 112 Turbine Points.

Has anything in the store (besides single-item flash sales) been offered at 75% off before?
I think I’m going to have to stock up on these!

Great discount, did buy a stack of them
By the way, as far as I know, the deed accelerator does not work in the update 5 instance (think it was the pits) and in lost temple instance (update with the dunhoth raid).

These were on sale yesterday (11/28) as well. It doesn’t look like the “one day sales” are actually for just one day.

er, that would be 12/28
December 29, 2011 at 9:12 am
They start earlier. I found the emote sale the evening before the daily sale as well.
December 29, 2011 at 9:32 am
Since there are players from around the world, maybe the sale starts when the day begins for the Kiwis and when it ends for the last US players, so that everyone can get the sale when it’s 12/28 (or whatever the sale date is) where ever it is they are.

I don’t know but every other sale that have always states the time in EST and doesn’t change for the other zones. It could just be an early grace period or they add it after announcing the sale for early birds.

I bought several of the 30min and 60min at 12:30am EST on Thursday 12/29 at the discounted price.
So they had at least started by then. Not by the typical 3am start of a new day.

Hrm, I know I will need to grind slayer deeds eventually even though none of my chars are above 53.. should possibly stack up on these.
December 29, 2011 at 8:46 am
Always good to start early on your deeds! (If for no other reason than less grindy to deal with later :p)

Crud. Bought a 30 and a 60 to top off my deeds this week — got all to 12. Maybe for an alt … 75% is big.
December 29, 2011 at 11:02 am
These are bound to account, right? So if you bought a bunch now while they’re on sale, you could stock them in your shared vault and get them out on an “as needed” basis no matter what toon you were on.
December 29, 2011 at 11:31 am
You sure can! It’s nice having a chest in your shared storage just for shared things like this & XP tomes.
December 29, 2011 at 11:55 am
The stat tomes are account bound too, which is nice. I somehow wound up with two of the first stat tome for Will and was able to just give it to another of my characters.

Shared storage is fantastic period. Originally got mine just to share mats and consumables between characters but quicky realised how great it is for account boundy items–especially lottery winnings.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for extra character slots to go on sale next.
But make it a 50% sale
December 29, 2011 at 3:38 pm
95%, fingers crossed

75% off slayer deed accelerators is too good a deal to pass up.
My main is at L75 with all slayer deeds done and I got him a stack.

A few days left will Wardrobe pass us by? /cry /pout

Picked up two stacks of these things. I’ve had some TP lying around for a while and these are arguably my favorite convenience item in the store.
I don’t mind slayer deeds as much as many I know, but on your n-th character it’s nice to speed it up.
