LOTRO Store

I personally am not one to purchase morale and power potions in the LOTRO Store. They seem to be easy to obtain in game from skirmish vendors or reputation barterers (also note that Goldenstar is a scholar).

Ketani tells me the store morale and power potions are nice for raiding and I’ll trust her judgement on those. They have a shorter cool down that is not shared with crafted potions so she can use both in a fight.

If you are of the same thinking as Ketani, then 50% off sale seems to be the time to pick some up!

Sure if you have the tp and doing cutting edge raiding then by all means, but I certainly would never buy them.

I agree with blackwolfe: everyone is free to judge the value and need for purchasing these themselves, but I’d never spend TP on something like potions.

    Just my two bits:

If you have a good healer(s) in your raid and you trait virtues for ICPR and ICMR (in-combat power/morale regeneration), you should never need to use power and morale pots.

Me, personally, I would never pay real money for this kind of consumable.

Oh, they’re certainly not a *need* and I never buy them unless they’re on sale and I’ve already got pots to spare. But there are times when the entire group is taking a big hit (say when the troll are bringing the ceiling down in the tier 2 lightning wing trash in Tower of Orthanc) where every little bit you can do to take some pressure off your healers is a good thing.

I wouldn’t rush to say “if you have to use a pot ever, your healers and/or virtues aren’t good enough”. I’d say if you *never* need a pot, you’re probably not challenging yourself enough.
