One of the few plugins that I miss from World of WarCraft is ArkInventory. And although due to Lua constrictions we don’t have a plugin that can match that utilities functions, Hugebag is definitely a step in the right direction.
Hugebag is an inventory replacement addon that will merge all your bags into one large bag that also adds a range of functionality:
- Sorts your bags (utilizing the previously reviewed SortPack plugin)
- Merges like items into one stack.
- Will let you search for items by name
- Has 2 modes, widget and window
- Allows you to view only certain item types in your inventory (potions, cosmetics, etc.)
Overall it’s a very good plugin and has actually become one of the few plugins that I load for all of my characters.

Wow, the bag plugins have made some strides since I last updated. I turned them off when ROI launched (LUA was crashing the game over something related), but looks like I’m missing out.
I don’t know if this is possible at all with the current implementation, but what I would REALLY love would be a way to change the bag item display so that it’s more similar to our chest display (or even when we sell items to vendors).
So like you’d have the icon for the item and the name would be right next to it (and maybe it’s price too).
Maybe someday?

You know, I think Alt Inventory has an output like that. I’ll have to check.

Cool, I’ll look into that too. My biggest problem with LOTRO’s inventory UI is that I feel the icons are just too small (you can zoom them in, but then they’re blurry)… But I have no problem at all with the vault/selling UI. Definitely would be a huge win

I wish that they would give access to the vault, shared storage and vebdor panels. I especially hate that you can’t sort the sell panel properly, just filter it with not so useful categories.

Glad to see you reviewing hugebag. Its definitely the only onebag type plugin I’ll ever use for Lotro and its nice to see its functionality increased several steps since I wrote about it in the sortpack comments as well as fixes for the crashing and item swapping bugs. Hope to see it evolve even further in the future.
I too miss arkinventory from wow, dont know how many hours in total I spent on tweaking the categories etc in it. Dont even want to know how long I spent configuring Pitbull.. erm, 3 or 4, not sure what version number. I wish there was a unitframe plugin for lotro that was as powerful, good looking and customizable as pitbull was.
I do no miss wow one bit, but I do miss my old custom ui

Yeah, maybe some day, right? I know I miss my UI. Playing with addons and messing with my UI was like my own minigame in WoW, lol.

What I don’t miss about my WoW ui was having to fix it every single time a patch came out. I instantly lost 2 days of play time trying to fix or waiting on fixes for my addons.
It was rather addictive though lol

As long as arkinventory was working I managed pretty fine.
