Player Achievements

Each week we ask you to share your successes in Middle Earth with the rest of the community. Post a comment letting us know what you’ve accomplished this past week. We will pick comments at random to read on the podcast giving you a chance for a little shout out for yourself! Our shout-outs are only as good as the information we get so remember:

  • Don’t forget to add your character name, what server you play on and if you like, add your Kinship if you have one.
  • Please keep your posts brief. We won’t be able to read full novels of your adventures. At least make it so we can easily sum it up!
  • Do not be afraid to post any of your achievements. We don’t care if you just saved Archet or cleared out Ost Dunhoth. We want to hear from you!

These shout outs will appear in Episode 112 of A Casual Stroll to Mordor Podcast. You are welcome to join us live at 9:30pm Eastern on Saturday! First time joining us live? See our post on how to join CSTM’s live broadcast.

Comments for this thread will be closed after recording as this is a weekly thing. If you missed this week’s cut off, don’t fret! A new thread just like this one will appear next Friday.

My lore-master hit 68 and friend in Dunland and my Warden Elf 67!

  2. Maedhric Says:

After 53 skirmish raids split between my 2 level 75 characters, I finally won a Worn Symbol of Celebrimbor and made a 2nd Age sword for my champion. Next: captain’s emblem!

Maedhric, level 75 captain, officer in Estel en Are

  3. Azakael Says:

Holy hoarfrost hobbits! Woke up this morning to a nice fine layer of frost on everything!
So this week: On Nimrodel – Alexahil, Cynwyon and Branthien all obtained the Harvestmath horses. Between the three of them they also got the four maps and the dress.
Also on Nimrodel, Heydrich my Hobbit Warden hit level 10 and successfully failed to earn the undying title when he bit off a bit more than he could chew. Someone forgot to tell me what the Warden’s “I win!” button was.
On Landroval – Elethahil, my Champion, hit level 15 and *also* successfully got himself killed before level 20 when he went after a brood queen and her brood watchers – all yellow… Oops.

  4. Destiny Says:

Hello Meric and Goldenstar (sorry thought meric needed to go at start for once) i hope i find you both well and happy in one of the shire’s cosy inn’s. Winter’s nearly hear in England and beside’s drinking alot of hot chocolate i have played alot of lotro.
This week I managed to get my Burglar Silvers (Thats right Goldenstar XD great minds think alike) to level 75, she has now joined my Minstrel Destini and my Champion Fales. And finally made an attempt at that dasterdly dragon and failed…owell what you gonna do :P
Thanks for all you do ;) oh and give my best to baby Hobbit ;)

  5. Lamium Says:

Hi, Goldenstar, Merric, and baby Hobbit,

Lamium [LAM-ee-um] hit level 50, and got the Autumnfest pony.
Derran [DARE-en] got a few more Cartophile deed maps, and apparently one more stall to shovel out.
Pelros [PEL-ross] made kinship with the Inn League and got the rep horse.
(Derran – TWO more stalls to shovel! Bah!)

I finally cashed in my Moria code (extra free time while recovering from some surgery :-) and opened up two new slots:
Daerthar [DAR-thur] and Viburnum [vi-BURN-um] both reached level 15, ran the Inn League initiation quest, and are now proud (but woozy) members!

TL;DR – This week brought festival horses, maps, lots of beer, and two new Inn League members to Greylock House. Lamium’s healing expertise was much in demand, as was Derran’s shoveling skill.

    Lamium, Greylock House kin, Dwarrowdelf

  6. kelly Says:

my hunter haukke of brandywine(pronounced hawk) made it to level 70 and on the very same day i got the skeleton painted steed from the chest which brings my total steed count to 31.

  7. Amblebras Says:

    Hi all,

Amblebras made kindred with the iron garrison guard and ally with the miners. Questing in the deep dark is going well, although I did have to pop out for the harvestmath fest a couple of times (no skeletal horse yet – boo!).

Target for this weekend is to get that final elusive coin and the shoulders piece or my armor.

Ps I’d like to thank Nuadda for his great leadership on 2 Watcher raids and to my Kin’s leader, Jen, for her generosity and stewardship.

Amblebras – servants of the secret fire – Lamdroval

  8. Thurinphir of Riddermark Says:

Posted my best 3 screenshots in the CSTM Flickr group!

  9. Largado Says:

I got my minstrel, Largado of Firefoot, through the first book of volume 2 and therefore got my first legendary weapon and songbook!

  10. Fayarra Says:

It took a mighty amount of drink, and frantic dizzy running through the Shire, but my 36 Warden, Laerelwen of Landroval, was proud to achieve friend status with the Inn League.

After getting lost in the hated Basement of the Haunted Burrow many many many times, I finally collected enough tokens to buy a fancy new Autumn Nights gown and cloak, as well as my new mounts the Sable Harvestmath horse and Autumnfest steed. It’s also been a joy running around yelling /BOO at those I might meet :)

  11. Corvald Says:

I managed to get my first character to level 75 this week! The next challenge: crafting new legendary items.

Also, I found that Saruman is fond of trick-or-treating. Personally, I think throwing eggs at trolls is a bad idea, but according to one of the Rohirrim, Saruman *yolked* two trolls at the Gates of Isengard.
    (the bug was reported)

    -Corvald of Silverlode

  12. Smodo of Landroval Says:

Hello Goldenstar and Merric, this week on my third try opening the hunted burrow chest I got the painted skeleton pony!.

  13. Gidro Says:

I have been secretly practising my drinking and Gidro has stealthily wormed his way to Kindred in the Ale Association, whilst also maintaining happy Kindred status with the Inn League. Yay for Shire Beers!

  14. Carranor Says:

    Hi Goldenstar and Merric

Carranor got the much coveted Pumpkin mask and the steed of night on the secret chest on her 2nd try (very happy as she is my horsy collector) and thanks to you map I did eventually find my way around the hunted burrow.

Also got a worn symbol from a skirmish raid and made a new level 75 2nd age DPS fire stone

She also got 75 today and had a her first Draigoch run with her friend on Berningas (formally Raids ‘R’ Us)

Loving the RoI expansion and the fact you don’t have to do lost of repeatable quests to get kindred rep.

Carranor Runekeeper of Laurelin officer of The Grey Guard

  15. Tuiliel Says:

After dozens of attempts, Tuiliel of Nimrodel has finally beaten the Watcher! Full credit (and undying gratitude) goes to Utleth, raid-leader extraordinaire, and his rowdy band of warriors who put together a fantastic group for me and even gave me everything from the chests to celebrate. Calamari for everyone!

  16. Glimorac Says:

Glimorac, Guardian of Elendilmir, defeated draigoch twice. Once on wednesday, and once on friday. Redhras, a hunter of Rohan, began his quest through Dunland and reached level 68.

Glimorac Harukgathol (Harukgathol means iron fortress in dwarfish)
-Guardian of the Shadowed Company of Elendilmir.

  17. Sheherezi Says:

My hobbit Guardian Sheherezi at last won the horserace and was able to buy her first pony: The Autumnfest Pony. It’s wonderful! She is very happy with it and takes every chance she gets at riding her newly found pony.
    Warm Regards,
    Sheherezi

  18. Kingsley Says:

-After a lot of traveling (and some help from Lucolas the hunter) Damper of Anduin will make kindred with the Inn League at the end of the festival! Good for a lot of nosepicking and relogging after the blue fog-bug in Forochel :)
-Eodhir, also of Anduin got his 7th haunted tree yesterday :) Will make for a spooky garden…
